HELP!!!82 cb450 nighthawk

building up my bike. was riding all day yesterday. got home and went to start it and nothing. no spark. so i replaced the coil with the one of my kz400. rode today. no probs. came home home and went to go again and nothing. no spark. wth??!! also now it wont even crank using the button. but if i jump it from the starter side of the starter relay it will crank but no spark. any clues???

sounds like either a bad seloind, or the button wire is not connected well to the selnoid
