HELP .... any of my UK based DTT pals. My pal Brian will not be able to put the required build up weld on the header pipe [ 2 spots ] so that we can get it linished and polished looking as one single piece of tube. There's no rush as I have to retrieve the header from Brian's house as and when. It's stainless BTW.

It's the right - left crossover pipe, about 12" long. Quite happy to pay and return carriage.

Check out how much shipping with parcelforce or the like to Austria is (unless one of the UK peeps steps forward) - should be like 10 minutes of work.

Hi Beach...how's it hanging. We get a lot of stainless welded, as you may know....and our welder is ex British super sport rider, Ross Twyman. Ross is the best TIG welder bar none mate....and I'd be happy to pass your job onto him....only thing is, in these troubled times, I couldn't begin to say when this job might get done.

That's fantastic. I'll take advantage of your kind offer. Do you want to PM me your address details and I'll get it sent off to you.

Absolutely no rush !!!!!!!!! You KNOW how long it's taken me so far. A month or so is fine, depending on when he can fit it in.

The plan is to have the weld built up sufficiently so it can be linished back and polished. Does he do that as well ?

At this stage in the project, it has to be right as I'm unlikely to start another project now and I want this one to be as good as it can be.

Many thanx again and also to all the other offers.

He'll certainly build up and shape as you require.....we use a separate polisher fella, but again, I can get that done too if you want, unless you have someone you use? I have some pipes under construction as we speak, so dropping your job off will be no problem.

Hi Beach...
Your pipe arrived today. So we're going to build up and polish back the 2 joints as best we can....
What are you going to do with the exhaust clamp? Shouldn't that be polished s/s or polished ali?
There's a little thingy preventing its removal, but I could get one of those cut too, if you want.....look much better. We make them as a replacement on the Suzuki 500...polished ali....

Yes please - the "thingy" is the mount for the exhaust connector retaining spring.

Can you do two flanges please ? Unfortunately the spigots and flanges came in MS - I ordered Stainless !!!

Will do mate....as you said before, it's got to look right. Obviously Ross will have to remove the spring retainer to get the old clamp off, but we'll keep that safe and return it to you. Something prettier also stainless would be better. I'll be dropping the pipe off to Ross this morning.

I just realised I'd posted an update on the main forum but not here.

MANY, MANY thanx to the guys at Titan and their talented artisans.

The crossover pipe is now absolutely spot on, and the alloy flanges finish the job off nicely.
