Honda CB466F Barely Legal Track Bike "Goldie"

Just finished her first oil change since. Holding the motor. I opening up the filter and it looked really good. Next I have to swap my plug wire to resistor ones as they were interfering with my speedo/tach.

Alright got it wires swapped, adjusted the valves and cam chain adjuster. Fresh oil and filter and adjusted my chain. Tannermatic is working on my carbon hugger and the front fender is drilled and I just need to clear it.

Front fender is on. And started cleaning the ole girl. Hugger arrives tomorrow. I'll trim it, drill and tap two holes and clear it. Then mount Wednesday

Rear hugger showed up from tannermatic and it's perfect. I got it turned, drilled and tapped the holes and cleared it last night. I'll mount it up tonight.

wow, just skipped through this.. lovely work!!

Interesting to see your front fender sits as high as mine due to the bracket.. Are you leaving it as it is? I only ask not as a critism just I've been wondering what to do with it... it will look better in black I think.

Heres my build.. nice wheels ha!!

Yeah I'm going to the fender height. I like to make sure I'm good on clearance as the tire gets taller as speed increases.

Yes good point.. another question sorry mate. I notice are you are running a clock, but no cable drive.. are you planning to run a GPS speedo and did you simply remove the tacho drive on the hub.

My drive on the HUB is cracked so I may run a GPS and less cable.

Re: Honda CB466F Barely Legal Track Bike "Goldie"

I ditched the speedo hub and went to a 20mm axle that gets rid of it. And am running a speedhut Gpd speedo with large tach. The tach input just connect to a coil via one wire.

Thanks I really appreciate the feedback.. A GPS is the way to go and wire for the tacho.

Forgive me for a stupid question but I dont plan to change the Axle, I assume I will still need to keep the unit in place for the sake of the bearing is that right? I'm at work so cant look at the bike to check it but ideally I'd like to remove the unit but keep the axle as it is.

No worries at all. The bearing should be a sealed unit, so you would just need a spacer to take the place of the speedometer unit.

Silent follower, loving your build! Also thinking of ordering the 466CC kit for my 400. :)

Thank you!

I'm really happy with it. There are times where i wish i had went with the yoshimura kit but that's only because cruzinimage on ebay banned me after i asked a question on the ring gap. He seems to do that to anyone that asks him a question.
