how many of us are there?

Nothing ever came of the patches. I haven't heard from awesome dude since. He put it together initially, and I just added my opinion. I am still down if there is more interest. I hadn't heard from anyone since. What do you say?

Unless awesome dude doesn't approve. I sent out the patch to three or four different patch makers. Some of you probably won't want one this big but I want a back patch for my leather jacket. I had them quote me for a 9" diameter patch. If I can get an order together for 25 pcs it will be $19.87.

One of our members does one-off patches up to 10-12 inches in size and might be able to help out. He's posted up in the For Sale section I think.

If you guys want the font that we use on the site's logo let me know - it's called Brandish and is available for free download out there with some Google searching.

Couldn't find the patch guy on the for sale section. I'd rather support a member than someone that has no interest in what we all do here. I got the font from you for the battery boxes and will work on altering the patch's font tonight (that is if awesome dude isn't opposed and doesn't have a copyright on the patch yet ;D) Let me know if you or anyone else knows how I can contact the patch guy. I'll keep looking.

Hey! What about us northern oregon guys?

You know you want to be part of Jefferson State ;D.

Well if I can't get enough orders together for the Jefferson state one I'm sure I can change it to Pac Northwest or Oregon or something. Suggestions?

Well, I read that Nor Pac extended down to the Portland area. So, as usual, there was no where for the southern part of the state to hang out. I'm not trying to redraw lines or anything, and I am not trying to alienate anyone, so if p-town wants to stick with the Washington/BC guys that's cool, or if they want to unify the state that's cool too. Realistically, I am not sure I want to go all the way to p-town to hang out and ride. That's just MY opinion. I wish there was more of a Southern Oregon presence, but as it stands right now, my bike isn't even running, so it doesn't make much difference.

When I brought up the whole state of Jefferson, it is more humorous than anything, to me. Its sort of a satirical comment on our state politically. Portland has all the power, no one cares about the southern part of the state, yada yada yada... Traditionally, I am not sure where the northern boundry runs. I want to say Douglas County (Roseburg), but then where does Eugene sit? They can come with us I suppose, or go north. Whatever. I am just glad this has been revived, and there is some renewed interest.

Later,

Ryan

I consider both Oregon and Washington to be the Pac Northwest so this may be better

Type could be centered a bit better, but it's a rough draft.

We could always make both and us Jefferson state guys and the pac northwest guys can still be friends ;D

Hey Ryan if you need a wrenching buddy or some help on your ride, my brother and I get together every once and a while down in Central Point and work on bikes.

I am definitely fine with including the whole northwest region. What I realized after I made my last post was I should have said NW Ton Up Terrors. In that thread it mentioned including Washington, south to Portland. Sorry for the discrepancy.
One not on the patch. It may have been mentioned, but the skull with crossed pistons is widely recognized as the symbol for the Outlaws motorcycle club. That's my only concern.

It is a bit different than the Outlaws colors but the last thing we want is anyone confusing us w/ a MC gang. How's about this instead.

That is very cool. I would maybe suggest the skull be slightly smaller, and up-right in the center of the spade. Or the spade could be slightly larger with the skull the same size. (still upright).

Any other opinions?

Ryan

No offense to the washington guys, but I would have a real problem not having a separate group from seattle. Maybe just a portland group then or an entire pacific northwest group. Like I said, I got nothing against the seattle and BC guys, but Oregon is my state and Portland is my town. Just like you southern oregon guys don't want to get lumped in with us, I wouldn't want to get lumped in with Seattle. Vancouver is about as far as I would let that go....

Most everyone I know in Vancouver, WA, say they are from Portland anyway.

I say we do a NOR PAC, and then if we want to create more localized groups from there, then cool. Sea-town, P-town, J-State, etc. Like a small crescent that can go under the DTT patch.

Thoughts?

Later,

Ryan

I think that would be the best idea. Pac Northwest it is. I'll make some adjustments to the skull and spade for the final proof. Remember I need to get at least 25 order to make these as cheap as possible.

One thing to keep in mind is pretty much all patch embroiderers will allow up to 8 or so colors at no extra charge, so if you want to incorporate some color, it won't cost you any extra.

If you need a patch supplier, let me know - I've gotten pretty good rates from a place up here. I had gotten quotes from a couple US shops, and they were 30% or so higher than the shop I'm working with now.

Well here it is

Colors? Size? Whatta ya think?

Personally I like the black and white, and 10 inch diameter.

If you would Tim, you can send the image to your patch guy and see what the cost would be. Thanks.

Do you want to use the current DO THE TON font? If you email me the skull artwork, I can layer it onto our existing patch artwork and make the changes (no checkers, solid white around the spade etc.)

10 inch diameter patches are probably in the $25 range each at a volume of 25 or so. I'll confirm, and I'll get it to our friend on the board who does embroidery too.
