The owner of KTM bought Husqvarna, interesting times in the moto-biz.

Sure? KTM own Husaberg, Husky was owned by BWM last time I heard.

I could be completely wrong though.

You are correct. KTM just recently made the purchase. It looks like Huskey will move to handle the dirtbike side and KTM will be focusing more on street machines. VERY interesting.

Ktm Haven't bought Husky. The guy who is the CEO of Ktm not sure if he is the largest shareholder, I think that maybe Baja of india. He bought it with another company he owns Pierer Industry. Plans are to keep them independant but with possible future links with Baja of India.
Sounds kinda difficult as they both compete for the same market segment. I cant see KTM willing giving up their off road heritage.

But that duke does look and sound wicked.

So it looks like the majority shareholder is involved. Interesting.

KTM now has its hands in Husaberg and Husky. They are really playing hard against the Japanese.

I don't take much from the KTM moving away from dirt story, nearly every bike in the WEC is orange and they are a serious MX player now. They are probably covering all angles to appeal to more consumers. Husaberg with all the fruit, KTM for great all round performance and Husky who've always been very competitively priced. Top, middle and lower areas of the segment covered.
