So I’m doing a cafe build on a 82 cb900f and I got one in pretty decent shape aka everything works I don’t really wanna cut all the tape and work the wires to the fuse box and ignition switch however I did a front end swap and there’s no room on the forks to really put either of these items was just curious what has anyone else done?

Ive never done it but off the top of my head since you have no room and need to relocate and dont want to open the loom you could lengthen the wires run them to where you want and wrap them against the harness not the best solution but its an idea

That’s a good idea actually! Didn’t even think about that I gotta look at it all with the tank on but it looks like there’s room where the ignition coils are located and I have seen this like ignition bracket for the 750k which I assume would fit my bike as well just don’t wanna cut everything up for a much easier solution someone might have

You could also have spark moto make an extenion harness so you dont cut the original. Figure out the length and send it to them. They can match the plugs and make it plug and play. Or you can donthe same buying the wire and plugs.

When I changed the front end on the '79 CB750F (very similar, I think) to GL1000 forks and trees, it was possible to mount the clocks, switch, and fuse box to close to the original position. It was a rat bike, so I didn't work on appearances but that could have been accomplished if needed. I seem to remember that the fuse box mounted to the bar clamps, anyway.

Also a great idea I think that’s what I’m gonna do I don’t wanna weld in something to my frame Altho I had been just considering to buying a complete harness from them and bring the bike into this century
