I'm kind of excited about this!

not bad, fenders are too short seat needs double the thickness but for a brat style seat, which almost always look like they were designed by a retarded faggot, that is not TOO bad

Looked at specs on K's website....It weighs more than my CB360 and has 8 less horsepower. I have electric start....

I like the concept, not the execution.

The should of did 4 valve, and with fuel injection, get a few more ponies out of it....

Looks like their 300 twin is a lot faster and better.....Maybe that engine on a "naked" frame would of been a "more better" bike....

Got a feeling it will languish...

I was really excited when I heard the SR was coming back, then I saw the numbers. Price is absurd, HP is a joke. What in the world is Yamaha thinking on this one, especially in a market that generally leans toward larger displacement bikes. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if 350-500cc bikes were more commonplace, but the price and power would have to be there as well. Sadly this no longer ticks any of the boxes for me. Guess I'll go back to trawling CL for a CB450/SR500/XS400.

Yep the price is ridiculous.. The Honda Grom is a fun little bike with a more reasonable 3k price tag..

That right there is why I can't see the SR surviving here.

wow you are comparing a minibike to a 400 ? one is toy one is a motorcycle

The price points on motorcycles seem to run parallel with displacement. The SR price is consistent with other bikes of similar displacement, but you don't get nearly the features. I think it should be a 250, instead of a 400, then priced accordingly. It would do better in the $4000 range competing with the same market as the TW's, Rebels or 250R CBR's, even the Grom.
