Re: indy cb360 cafe

looks good, but that collector is seriously robbing you of some power...

Re: indy cb360 cafe

Awwww yeah!

What a PRETTY ugly bike, and I mean nothing bad by it.

I'm sure I'm the first of many to give praise on that awesome exhaust setup, what's the exhaust tip on your tail from? Pretty good looking exhaust, I've always liked it when someone pulls off tucked look like that.

edit: found your build thread, how the hell did I miss this one.

Good stuff.

Re: indy cb360 cafe

the exhaust goes up into the tip and then the tip is shrouded with aluminum on the inside to prevent any melting. so yes it does go up into the tip but no muffler or actual mating to the tip to speak of.

Re: indy cb360 cafe

the clutch lever is just a cheap motion pro perch, the rear sets are from dime city cycles.

you maybe right pj, but at the same time it has no baffle or muffler and seems to flow pretty well.

? ? ?
I think you looked at Rocan's quote.
Now go back and do things right.
No fork brace - you gotta be joking?
Exhaust, good idea pity it went wrong
Rear end looks shit.
One thing I really REALLY hate is a hack job that looks like back end fell off.
You need at least 30~45 degrees rearwards of a vertical line through rear axle
Except for a few drag bikes, no race bikes anywhere has the set up I see way too frequently.
Did I mention I REALLY HATE that look?
If you can't fit number plate and light on right side, tucked in and raised up, fit it centered, that looks like it fell off a wannabe HD
I know I could knock it off on first corner (those Bridgestone Battleax tyres?)
XR tool bag?
At least you fitted real rear sets and clip on bars, that's plus points

oops my bad, but wow dude first off i dont know what crawled up your ass! last time i checked this was all in good fun, am i wrong? besides from the looks of your thread you have a machine shop of some kind at your disposal which is something i am def. not lucky enough to be around. this is my first build i just dont see where you get off thinking it would be cool to pick apart someone else on the job they did on their bike. im pretty sure i didnt build the bike for you to ride and enjoy. and who says im trying to build some kind of race bike? as hard as you may find this to believe this was just something to do over the winter. i hope all that spewing hateful garbage made you feel better about yourself. for the time i have been visiting this site i have found everyone to be really nice and helpful you are the first to point yourself out as a true dick head! and like i said before im pretty sure im not trying to race you or get "knocked off in the first corner" as you so eloquently put it. also arnt you damn near 60 years old you would think that with age would come a little bit of restraint, but then again you pretty much spend your entire days trolling this site it looks like. also like 5 days ago you posted a pic of the same tires i have! either way man there are plenty of things i dont like about your bikes i dont talk a bunch of shit to you about it, cause it isnt MY bike i dont know what you wanna look at and you dont know what i wanna look at plus if we all did what you thought was right what would the fun in it be? this was just a fun project im not trying to win a show or go racing on track days its just something to putt around town and enjoy the fact that i built it. pretty much your just a dick.

Re: indy cb360 cafe

tell me about it darmstro someone didnt get enough sleep or something, but thanks for the props man!

Re: indy cb360 cafe

That's the exact point about the tyres, they will completely outperform the 'mods' you made.
Cheng-Shin 'supersliders' will be fine for a bike that only leans +/- 5 degrees, and, I did give 'plus points' for having real rearsets 8)
I also have a set of those LED indicators and is that an RM master cyl?
Most people here think I'm a total dick when I first post my views on what their doing. (Rocan, Swagger, Big Rich, Von Yinzer, et.al.)
you could try listening to 'real world' experience or, you could just piss up a rope and learn things the hard way.
Anyone can spend a couple of hundred bucks in Harbor Freight, Enco, Grizzly, etc for machinery, mini lathe is less than $500.00, mini bench top mill around $500, small multi machine around $600~$800 , large bechtop mill around $1200.
I don't have CNC or a lot of space or money, ( or I-phone, pad, etc ::) ) if you want something bad enough though, you'll find a way to get it
Oh, and there's nothing wrong with exhaust pipe, will probably cause a restriction at real high rpm but will probably help torque at lower RPM
Probably great in the 2,000 to 8,000 range?

Re: indy cb360 cafe

vry nice man! love the photos! trick scoot!
do have to say the pipe leaves me wondering not sure if it is all the wrap or what.. woudl like to see something one the bakc of that seat even if it is a flase hump to cover the pipe a bit... other than that dig the paint work looks good
