Cretins M.C. Seattle #107 - "The Saint"
Today was the annul Isle of Vashon ride here in Seattle. Weather was great & the turn out was amazing, lots of cool stuff. It's put on by the local VME as a vintage rally. Of course there was alot of new bike & Harleys but had a great time here are a few shots I took.

Right up till got a flat rear tire going @ 45mph in a long right hand turn a couple miles into the Poker Run  Managed to keep it upright & stopped safely. Wound up pushing the bike almost a mile (half in the wrong direction) to a house where I could leave it. The guy I get parts from had his truck on the Island just in case something like this (or worse) happens & was going to be @ the house later got it back to his shop last night. I wound on the back of a friends cb550. Didn't finish the run but did have a great day checking out the bikes. So many more really nice bikes but got tired of trying to get photo's of the stuff w/a crowd. The day could have been much worse, this was first flat on pavement -a few blown dirt bike tires, but this was a long drawn out incident, just had to keep calm slowly get my speed down while the back end slid back & forth. Aw well there's always next year!

That event was covered in the August issue of Motorcyclist.

Looks like fun.

That would explain the huge turnout this year. This was my second time attending & the quality of the vintage stuff seems to be getting better & better. Quite a few sidecars & even a small 2 seater Bristol (I think) sports car w/ a cb550 motor,
