It's like the energizer bunny...

I went out for a ride this afternoon/evening with my Brother. We stopped for a break and started talking about what we wanted to do to our bikes. I realized that even though I consider my bike done for the most part, there are lots of things I still want to do to it. Hence the Energizer Bunny analogy ;D. The bike is never done. And really, that's part of the allure of owning an old bike for me at least. I am glad to be associated with dotheton because I find so much inspiration and so many cool ideas while browsing the threads here. And I think alot of you guys on here have builds that keep developing and growing for years after they're "done".

Agreed. The people here are top notch. I have learned so much by reading and asking questions.
As for the bikes we own and ride. I think the same way as you. Just today I am having an issue with my 360 and I was thinking "this sucks...but if I have to pull the engine, it will give me a chance to polish and change some things up on it that I have needed an excuse to do."

I had a similar thing happen to me recently. I had been neglecting a broken throttle sleeve and once I actually got in and fixed it and added some new throttle cables the bike felt like a whole new bike. Takes off like a scalded cat now. I would never trade my 31 year old motorcycle for a new one.

Yeah, but I feel like scalding a cat right now.

Just sayin.... :D
