Kawasaki 2 Stroke "Mongrel"

Great pix Drew.
I saw a few triples pulling out of the fairgrounds when we pulled in on Friday.
Was thinking there might be a bunch on site, but I guess my timing was off.
Was there a gathering at the fairgrounds? Or just off site?

Did see the one below there;

Hey Rob,

Ya, we were 'off site' for the most part. A few of the boys were camping at the fairgrounds though. I was there Saturday morning for a few hours. Too bad I didn't see you. :'(

Been having a little fun these last few weeks. ;D

We had a Kawasaki Triples Canada 'gathering' the weekend after Labour Day and covered a few miles on the Saturday! Here's the best pic of the Mongrel that a buddy shot:

This past weekend a number of us from KTC spent the day at the track. Here are a couple of pics:

Me chasing a buddy:

Firing it up and heading for the grid:

(Notice the DTT patch for the West End Boyz on Jim's jacket! He's PipeWelder on DTT)

An 'art' shot:

All the credit for the pics goes to my pals at KTC. I was too busy riding to take many pics! ;D 8)

That looks like a fun day!

Both weekends were amazing! It's great to ride with a bunch of guys through deserted country roads. It was quite special 8)

Hnnnnnnnnnngggggg. Expansion chambers <3

Makes me regret building an inline-4 bike!!!

There's nothin' like the howl of a 3 cylinder 2 stroke on the pipe!! Now, gather 6 to 12 of them...

... that's truly special. 8)

In my riding experience, nothing else comes close to a track-day experience for putting a day-long grin on my mug!! ;D It doesn't matter what make/model bike you have... just get it on the track and have at it! 8)

Drewski, looks like a lot of fun. You missed a great weekend (apart from a lot of rain) at Martin MI. Alongside a pair of GT750s were H2s in every configuration from Stock to Experimantal gas. Fastest speed was 156MPH I think. And Magee had his case reed H2 out for anyone that wanted to play with it. more than 130 rear wheel HP. Insane......

You guys have all the fun!

It's rare to see more than one stroker at a time here in Oz.

Crazy

Teazer, sounds like you guys had a blast! Apart from the rain that is. ;) :D
I know some guys really 'push the edge of the envelope' with these old bikes. 156 mph?? I can't imagine that! Sounds like you saw it all there! 8)
I haven't seen Magee's case reeded monster but I know some guys who have. It's reputation is spreading! 130 rwhp... insane indeed! ;D

In case anyone is confused by the lock up clutch and thinks that this is a race bike... No. It's a street bike. 130 rear wheel HP or so they tell me.

About as subtle as a punch in the mouth.

Love it. ;)

Had a great time at Barber last month! I went down with my brother, Seaglider. I decided to take the Mongrel down in the trailer with Seaglider's zrx. I originally planned to take my zrx too, but the guys convinced me to bring the Triple instead. :) I'm glad they did! :D

Pipewelder snapped a couple of great pics. Thanks pal! 8)

The bikes had a cold, damp trip home! :p

Fortunately, we were nice and dry in the Yukon. ;D

The support I've received during the course of this project has been indescribable! I appreciate every comment, criticism and encouraging word you have brought to this thread. 8)

In order to keep you all connected to my journey with the "Mongrel", I'm linking the end of this thread to the beginning of another thread.

The Mongrel is now being set up as a "track only" ride. Not because I don't like riding on the street... I certainly do! It just feels like this would be the best use for this machine as long as it's mine. ;) :D It's getting crazy expensive to insure multiple bikes here in Ontario and I think I'll save some dollars, make better use of it and enjoy it more there.

So, onward and upward we go! Here's the link. Please join me in my 'madness' there. ::) :D
