KZ 305 ring set - discontinued

Hi, this issue has got me a little stressed out. Living at the last stop before Antarctica doesn't help either!

I've left the engine work on my bike to my local Kawasaki mechanic, and we're trying to get our hands on 2 sets of rings, part number 13008-1008.
There is 1 set left on ebay (the seller had 2 about a week ago!) but I guess I need 1 set for each cylinder right?

Here's the listing:

So if I cant get new rings what are my options? Any advice greatly appreciated!

That's a bit steep for one set.
If you have ART pistons there is probably a different bike that uses same size rings.
Check inside pistons for casting marks. There is a guy on eBay selling aftermarket rings pretty cheap.
Another alternative is find oversize rings and grind the ends for correct end gap (I've done it a few times with GS850 rings in 'big bore' CB360's)
A proper ring file/gapper tool makes it real easy, about $30.00 on eBay (of course, that puts price back up to about $90.00 total)
Are you in Falkland Islands?

Ha ha, thanks for your response. No I'm in Dunedin, New Zealand. I posted on KZrider & a fella there pointed me to VintageKawasaki.com they had 4 sets. Now they have 2. :-D

you can also download the wiseco/je catalogue and go through the ring listings. just measure the thickness of the all the rings and see if you can match them up.
