Longshot but any CBR600RR fans out there?

I thought I'd throw this out there and see if anybody wants to comment, suggest, etc. A friend of mine had aquired (legally) a 2004 Honda CBR600RR as well as several boxes of parts and accesspries. After a review and some discussion I'm going to help him sort, advertise, and sell/dispose of the stuff. I know that in general a CBR600 isn't usual DTT fodder but there's a wide variance of interests and expertise here so I'll take any thoughts or comments. IF it and/or the parts seem likely to be of interest here I'll post up ads in the For Sale area. Right now I'm soliciting comments, opinions, etc.

The unknown:
Miles: Unknown If/when I come across the speedo we'll see.
Title: Maybe. He's asked for it and the owner has said they'll send it along, but we'll see.
Does it run: He was told that it runs... unknown. I doubt that I'll even try to start it.

The known:
Generally it seems to be all there but I haven't seen a muffler; pipe & can. the header is there. It's probably been down... hard, soft, I don't know. There seems to be two complete sets of bodywork in boxes. One of them looks like it's a very decent used OEM metallic red set, perhaps purchased on eBay or something. The other set appears to be a new ABS set in white in a box from a retailer. Lots of other parts; new brakes, bent radiator, clutch plates, etc. Doesn't look like the forks or frame are tweaked and the wheels look ok. I suppose the thing could be put back together, could be made into a naked bike, or perhaps a track bike. In my opinion these were pretty much a dime-a-dozen machine in the 2000s; they were billed as "beginner bikes" and lots were sold and wrecked. Or am I wrong? This isn't something special is it?

Thoughts? Dump it all and be glad it's gone? Sell body parts and dump the bike? If I had it at home I'd consider parting it out but I don't have the facilities here in my southern Mississippi winter locale. Sell as a unit?

I'd say sell, probably not going to be hard to sell it as parts. Hell, I knew a folk who would pick up old leather seats n stuff at the local yard for pretty much free and re-make 'em into wallets and holsters that would go for $70-80. He would just make stuff similar to Galco holster(https://gritroutdoors.com/galco/ like those) and maybe some extra embroidery.
I'd say you have better chances selling parts, since it's quite a niche bike. Hard to tell without photos ofc, if it's in a decent condition then maybe you can find a buyer decently fast. With all the unknowns listed I'd go for parts.

One of the sport bike forums or advrider forums might get more action.
Yeah, I know... just really don't want to join another forum just for a little bit of info. I just figured that there's enough general MC info within the walls of this esteemed institution, info held by people I'm more likely to know and trust (or at least know about and trust more) than a bunch of squids on a crotch rocket site. I got the two bodywork sets on local Craigslist last night, will see how that goes. (Yeah, I know, I ought to do FB Marketplace, too, not on FB, do't want to be.)

Running/titled bikes apparently still have decent value. The local guys are asking $1000-$3000 for titled/running 2004 CBR600s. The low end bikes normally are generally naked. Untitled bikes which is apparently the hot deal in Georgia are in the $100-1000 range. $100 is a pile of parts representing a 600 but may include several other bikes. $1000 are said to be running good. I asked my Ohio buddy about the insurance/salvage auctions. He pulled up a year's worth of CBR600RR auction data which showed $350 as the average price regardless of condition. The body sets probably have the most value.

Thank you very much! Very good info. I've offered up the body sets for $250 each which is a very good deal, I think. As for the bike... we MAY still get the title so that would make a big difference. It's pretty much all profit either way so hopefully when all is said and done both the seller and the buyer(s) will walk away happy.

Definitely a fan. I saw a friend punch a hole through Time & Space in an impromptu roll-on from 60 mph. Just like the Millenium Falcon when it's working right. They were QUICK.

I hear ya on that. I rode a CBR900RR some and that impression of warp speed was always there with the twist of the wrist for sure!
