Looking for an upswept brat seat like the ones Dime City sells for a 1971 CB350.

Shipped to 68154.

DM what you got.

Dont buy one from DCC.
I promise, they will fuck it up. Then you will argue with them on the phone how they fucked it up, then send it back, then after DCC receives it, then they excuse why they were incomplete will state "You were going to weld it anyway" Then you will have to wait for them to refund your money.

Buy one from Sonic and give him the dimensions you need for the up swept bend, or bend it yourself.

He's looking for the seat, not the hoop. Also seems to be stating that he is not intending to buy it from DCC but is looking for alternatives with the same style.

HWG, have a go at making one yourself. All you need is some 16-18 guage sheet, cut and bend to shape, add mounting points/brackets, then take to your local upholsterer for foam and leather. Should come out less than the DCC seat, it'll be exactly what you want, and you can say you did it yourself.

I've been drinking all day, so my ADD takes hold. However, the seat I bought from them works great. I read a DIY project for one with a skateboard deck.

The skate deck is a great idea as far as shape goes, but I'd be concerned about it getting waterlogged or otherwise damaged. And a deck flat enough to fit the frame rails is rare to find.

Can you tell I thought about that one before? ;D

I made a seat myself. Fiberglass pan, closed cell foam padding and leather upholstered. I'd have a go at making one yourself if you're fairly handy, can make a pattern and don't get frustrated easily. I have pictures of my process if you're interested.

Very cool. Would like to see those pictures.

I actually ordered a seat from DCC today. Was hoping to save a few bucks if anyone had one they're getting rid of and doing it myself would be cool but honestly just don't have the time or probably the skill to knock it out and this project has just been sitting around so I want to fast track it. Hopefully the seat works to my liking.

I'm sure the DCC seat will be great. It was too expensive for me and I wanted real leather with a worn look so I just did it myself.

Making the seat pan.

Added alignment studs and a black backing to the fiberglass. Then used spray adhesive and laid the foam (high dense and low dense) and clamped it for a while.

Got half a hide of leather off EBay. Quilted the top with quilt batting and backing material. Did that on the sewing machine.

The seat is made of three parts. Left and right side and the top. This is the rear seam of the sides.

All parts. Time to sew it together by hand. My machine can't sew that thick of material.

Pulled it over the pan and started punching holes for pop rivets. Then for the rippled parts, I sliced them and glued them down flat with contact cement.

Here's the final product, albeit my bike looks different now.
