Maritime's new GL - 2UP Distance eater

So I sorted lose exhaust. All good again. Then since Im not putting the crash bars back I needed a new way to mount my kick ass Sparkmoto LED driving lights so enter the garage door seal alloy I didnt toss and kaboom. It will get shaped and painted black. Thats as far as I got before shop time was ended for the night.

Thats not just flat. Its ribbed on the back and quite sturdy but super light. Got the holes drilled for the brackets Ill test fit the lights then pull it off and paint it black then final install. I hope to have the seat in primer at least by end of weekend. I have some honey do's but knocked a couple of those out already.

Mother of God you'll look like some kind of celestial Valkyrie coming down the road with that set up. Deer in the headlights? You'll have half of New Brunswick in them :p

Ha. They will need adjusting but I only use them on back roads or with high beams on divided highways. Not in town.

Straight out of "Close Encounters of the Canadian Kind." You need a horn that plays that 5 note sequence.

So I decided to make this seat work for this season to fix the padded hump, sew the rips and use it as is. This fall or mid summer when I can afford some new leather Ill redo it using the old cover as a template.

Its not perfect but 90% and WAY better than the 2-up. Fits me well and should be comfy enough even for longer solo hauls. I have airhawk too.

Looks good. And it really looks better on your bike than it did sitting on a shelf in my shop!

Shazam! That will do nicely. And, with just a couple bolts swap for the two-up sofa you can keep the misuz happy. I much prefer that solution over trying to make one seat fit both needs. And, ANYTHING is better than the butt-bucket King and Queen seats of the 80's that shoved your package into the shelter,

And I woke up at 3 an realizing i forgot to hook up the fan when I put the rad back. I check when I got up an sure enough not plugged in. That was fun to do after the fact with big hands. i was arguing with the wife when I was re-installing so it took my brain that long to tell me I screwed up. No issued in 50F weather but in 85+ it would have been

Good thing you remembered! I'm pretty forgetful lately....been going over everything three times.

Comfy looking seat! I gotta figure out a plan for my ugly wing.

It feels good, we'll see as the season goes. It should be as good as a stock seat but looks much better.

Big hands should spring for a pair of huge hemostats from Harbor Freight. Even little girly hands find them quite helpful.

Mate that looks great. I'm thinking you just made a hard job look super easy. My man. Kudos
