Master Gas Tank Thread?

So I searched and didn't find anything.....had a thought...

Wouldn't it be great to have a thread that's ONLY gas tanks? For example, a pic of a cool tank and what it came from?

That way, some of us searching for inspiration and that perfect tank that fits our vision can browse until something catches our eye and then know what to search for to acquire one!

I am currently researching tanks that had some style and knee pockets for my cafe project and anything goes as I'm going to jig the frame and modify it to suit my needs.

Currently considering:

Yamaha XS750E tank:

Honda CB350-four Tank:

Benelli Mojave tank:

BMW K100 tank (might me great because I am doing a fuel injection conversion and these have internal fuel pumps)

Royal Enfield Continental GT tank:

Post up some tanks! maybe this can get sticky'd!!!

DT360 tank as fitted to sonic sebs XS650. Gotta be careful on the year when buying a DT360 tank though as they are not all exactly the same - this one id say is about perfect

I had the same problem on the weekend, after a lot of searching I found that this is a Yamaha TR1 tank.

Maybe I am a little bias, but the BSA Euro spec Spitfire / Hornet tank is the prettiest thing I'll ever own.

Maybe a Norton Manx...

This is a great thread but I don't see anyone posting an xs500 tank which in my opinion is a great tank which could suit a load of bikes. Guess I better find a pic.
