MAY 2011 BIKE OF THE MONTH - NOMINATIONS!

I'll second that little kwakka! Awesome little build, and good to see you stuck at it after having an incident during the build!

Yeah i dont want to mess with that dog. looks like he is working hard on the job there. Whats with that link i so wanted to click butt if my wife found some dog porn on my computer she would flip LOL
I made up the doggie porn link, of course it may be real. The hound is working on digesting the cop he ate. That guy shouldn't have chased me all over the neighborhood when I was riding my supercharged whizzer. Came up to my front door and knocked....... so, I let the dog out and he ate him. By the looks of my dog........ he must have been a rotten cop.

This is such a great little bike. Love the micro drum on the front and the "proper" Kawasaki green!

Uh oh, is there a diluted feeling towards Benjies parts? I consider myself a beginner in terms of bike building and bought a tank and seat from him and think they look great. But, do people look down on those types of parts?

Dont build a bike for us or what people on the interwebs might want. build what you like and what you want.
the opinions on the interwebs are always changing. Hell I remember a time when a BCR twin was getting all the rage and it didnt even run.....
some bikes have been what i call stock+. what i mean is its a basic stock bike with some small mods like a seat and pained
others are "full" builds with all manor of fab work. Ive seen these go to far and turn into work for the sake of work kinda builds
others are ugly race bikes
still more are down right dangerous as motorcycles but some find them nice to look at so they get the praise.

all the bikes have pluses and minuses and not all will be liked by everyone. the most important thing is to have fun with the build.

also with some of the "newbie" guys coming around maybe the lack of posts is because they used the "search" button here....it is a larger forum and most basic questions have been asked a million times.

I think the point was that if a new person comes and acts like they have no manners they will be rejected. Nothing against benjies work at all, it's beautiful work that is both admired and respected, and if you can afford it awesome, we're behind you all the way. But just like anybody, nobody likes jerks. So act like one=get treated like one. Generally we enjoy being friendly and accept new members, hell if we didnt have new people we'd never have new bikes to look at or ideas to share. And also remember the Internet does not tell what the tone of the comment was. :-D

Hey i am not down talking the cb 200 but isn't the bike supposed to be finished,& on the road? I know it is pretty much done butt i dont see a seat in any of the pictures.

Kevs been out riding her without the seat for awhile now. And Tim has stated a few times that if someone wants to nominate a box of parts, they can.

Kev's bike without a finalized seat is way nicer than many other "finished" bikes - or most of mine :-(

cool well in that case i nominate this sweet cb i saw the mock up already the stuff is at the coaters read the thread

Love those dual airfilters! What's the story with the tank, is it original or handfab?
Thanks! The tank is original. I hand fabbed the seat/tail section, clip-on's, front fender, exhaust collets, exhaust system, laced the wheels, built engine, painted it and stuff and junk. Had so much fun, can't wait to put some serious miles on it and start the next project!

FunJimmy and anyone else, please relax. As has been stated several times, you can nominate ANY PROJECT you want. Whether its a pile of parts or a finished bike. If some one seconds it, and the owner agrees than its in the contest. Dont like it, dont vote for it.
