10,000 members and a Honda to Kawasaki ratio of 783 to 1 and my boy Kev is still gonna be sniped by the dirty dealings of the Kawa hordes? This is an injustice. Honda owners rise up and support the pinnacle of our breed. Are we really going to fall prey to their treachery. I say nay. This is about more than pride in make and model, this is about the greatness of the Honda line, and an example of craftsmanship that far out shines the work of mere mortals. Each line is a testament to elegance and the balance speed and style. Each guttural growl emanating in precise rhythm from the chromed throat of this beast is proof of its unbridled force and power. This is not just about a machine, and its obbsessed creator.
This is about the eternal struggle raging within the small cc jungle, and a winner must be proclaimed or all shall be lost. Let it be Honda, let it be Stik70, and let all future generations know that this CB200 stood before the brink and faced the fire. From this moment forward all shall know this was the hour, this was the day that one man was thrust into greatness upon his hand built steed, and that he led all men to the light. The forces of right shall prevail, the angels will sing, and all men that failed to stand today will hold there manhood cheap when in the presence of one who strode into the damned flames along this man and his steel masterwork. Reach out brothers, and grasp the truth and accept the greatness before the passing of another moment. Eternity is at hand!

I HAVE BEEN TO THE MOUNTAIN TOP........ and there congregated with the multitudes of followers of the mighty Z-1 to heap praise upon the divinity of his little brother sent to earth as a sign of Kawasaki Heavy Industry's desire to instill worship from 16 year olds everywhere. Hoping, that they get a sampling of speed, quickness, and corner carving prowess from this piece of unworldly technology which could only be crafted by the gods of KAWASAKI. With this craving of speed and deftness of cornering ability they could move from the ranks of the tiddlers to the almighty Z-1 and his breathern. Yea though I ride through the valley of Honda, I will fear no 200. For the Zed will endow me with the strength to remain steadfast through the journey and excite me and trill me for the rest of my life... amen....... :

You are right.... but I did own one several years ago. Of course its cornering power, or lack thereof, is legendary. On mine (a real Z-1, not KZ900 or KZ1000) the rear shocks were replaced with a set of Boge/Mulholland shocks from an LTD (shorter with a lot more damping) and the steering damper from a KZ500 was installed (came with the same damper in Europe). It didn't corner bad...... for the time anyway. It must have had the only accurate speedo Kawasaki ever made. The bike, with headers and a rejet, would go 120 MPH and that was wide open. I laugh every time one of my friends talks about his Z-1 going 135 MPH in third.......hehehe. Of course one of the many Yamaha RD's that I owned (350 and 400) would eat it up on the back roads. BUT....... the Zed IS the granddaddy of all the superfast Kaws..... and STILL worshiped by many...... 75 HP engine, rubber band frame, and wildly optomistic speedo....

Don't get me wrong...... I do like Hondas (see my cafe build under "Quickie Cafe"), but that little Kaw just does it for me....... I just love the stark purposeful looks and air of techinical sofistication...... not to mention the fact that it is just plain purty'..... 8) 8) 8) .

Man! I get sent to the Gulag for a few days, and the whole world is in shambles!! I cast my meke vote before reading the ensuing diatribe, and have to say that I am glad I voted with the Honda tribe (I have witnessed Ringo's posterior and mammaries firsthand, so I have to say it is his offer of coffee and G+T that do it for me--sorry dude!) Great job to everybody in this months BOTM, there is not a single bike here that I would mind looking at for a month. A
And I have to say I think I know who might get it next month: That's right, "Little tits-no ass-naked chicks and goats-mount me tire-I make good coffee-Honda-guy!!!!!!

Oh, don't worry- I'm chilled. Just pointing out that there are so many different ways to misinterpret a statement made by a random talking box on the internet. And to put Ringo's bike in the same paragraph as a "box o parts" can be read as an insult.

You don't need a jig to chop your frame.
That little hump/brace below your seat is useless. hack it off even if you only have 1/4 inch of clearance.
