Had a serous pow-wow last night.
"A" and I discussed various issues around, design, functionality, style, cool factor and objectives.
A critical issue was brought up, and that was where the picnic basket was going to go.
I was reminded that this was part of the original design
We decided that we would have a shallow plastic container over the steering rack that could hold items like a picnic basket.
-----------------------
"A" was super happy about the cool new racing e-brake.
We decided to work on the rear braking system today, which in effect will act as 3 things:
When the car is parked.
If I need to intervene while teaching her how to drive this thing.
If the drums up front prove ineffective in a scenario.
Lightly sanded off the surface rust with fine grit.
Masked it up.
I'm really proud of her. She did this pretty much all by herself, with only guidance from me.
Shes starting to get a finesse with the rattle can now. At first it was runs and so on, but now the results are starting to show.
-----------------------
I filed and painted the caliper.
The pads were rusty but good. Took off the rust. Masked it up, and "A" shot some black enamel. Good as new.
I had a nice braided hose from another project that I ended up not using - will work perfectly here. And now we're well on our way with this system.
