You forgot Pontiac and Dodge!

Pontiac is Chevy, which is the Dodge then? I am kinda rusty at the 50's and early 60's cars but those look like bow ties and blue ovules...

wow, what a bunch of beautiful cars!

Mopar? why would mopar be here... this is a MUSCLE CAR MUSEUM ;) ;)

You take that back! ;D I love my Valiant to death, would love to get some Mopar stuff for it...although I suppose its already running some HEMI Performance ignition kit and factory 6-2-1 headers...

Cheers for posting, love the 57' Chevs and 67' Stingray 427's

Pontiac is very much NOT chevy and David, would you suggest that a 71 Hemi Cuda isnt a muscle car? Silly notion my friend.

haha... its a car... sure... just not sure id say it has all that much MUSCLE...

(too those who dont realize, i do consider some mopar muscle cars... just love to piss off the mopar guys!)

Jokes on you, Rocan, guessing you've never driven one. Hell, you got a drivers licence, boy? ;) ;D

(Couldent help it, that "boy" got to me"

Ya post some pictures of a couple muscle cars and everyone gets all macho and tough guy about it....

I guess we should keep it cafe racer!

All in good fun, jsouthard. I was just ribbing Rocan because he's new to the party.

On muscle cars, anyone driven the SRT8 Chryslers of late? Sweet jesus...120mph in 3rd gear and pulling hard! Who said muscle was dead?

i got my license ;)

only muscle ive driven... well, actually two. My uncle has an escort with a supercharged big block in it (didnt catch specs, its hard to understand my language (maltese)) that scared me shitless...

also drove a stingray around a parking lot... i was complimenting a guy on his (absolutely mint under 5000 mile car, he was the original owner), and after some talking i nearly pissed myself when he asked me if I would like to take it around the parking lot... i was too scared i would wreck it if i drove it anywhere else, even though he told me i could take it down the road and open her up... i declined, so we switched places and we took a run up to 90 or so and then he backed it down....

dont take rides with strangers... but hell, if they have sweet cars, GO FOR IT! probably the coolest 65 year old i ever met.

Hahaha, nice! Love to see you give that advice to 3rd graders ;D Can't believe the Stingray story...would love to drive one. The Valiant is enough for the moment, awaiting a mild cam and 4bbl Holley, but the 427 Stingrays are just something else.

I'm in a small country town down here in Australia, so if you're under 25 and haven't moved out then you're either saving for a house somewhere else, or dropping a bit of money into cars. Been in a few crazy machines, and the odd street race. Big things to work on down here are the GM 308 smallblock V8's - no idea why, not terribly reliable when you work them (even moderately) and the head design isn't as good as a Chrysler's.

Twisting the thread slightly...my father has an '81 F350 with a 16ft ironbark tray on it. He's had the 350 in it worked, and I don't know exactly what has been done to it (apparently 'mild') but its spinning the dual rears. Good times getting the jetting right with him, I held the stopwatch in the passenger seat while he did varying acceleration runs. Must scare the hell out of people to see a truck that big coming at them that fast...

When I was in highschool, a kid i knew was given a mint 72 (i think...) Olds 442 Hurst for his 16th BDay. Long story short, he wrecked it by graduation, but I did get a chance to open that beast up. Wow... Raw power.

There are a lot of muscle cars around these parts. All makes and models.
My old boss had a 72 Challenger with a built 440. That was a MONSTER.
My uncle has a 68 GTO with a crazy 400 big block.
My Step Dad is building a 66 Mustang coupe with either a 302 or big block, he has both and hasnt decided which he will use.
Ken, a local cop I know has a 68(?) hemi Duster drag car.
And so on and so on...

if were talking raw power... my uncle in australia has an f250... the 7. something liter with the turbo and all that... chipped, and running increased boost. apparently the thing hauls ass and is faster then a newer mustang all the way up to about 80mph...

sucks on gas harder then a cheap hooker sucks dick though...
