This is my GS 1100 daily I have been riding since 1989. Built it to this state in 1997 and since it has been finished it has been across the country twice.

OK ctluba , I remember the GT550 build, but where did the DOHC CB come from?
Or was it first? Got a link to a build thread?

The CB was first. I did an abbreviated build thread here.

My daily around town ride has been this 1979 XS750f standard for the past 6 years. My get out of town or state ride is my 1988 K100rs. Others have come and gone. Maybe its the prolonged slump in the economy but I have been picking up great old vintage Japanese bikes the last couple of years and now is the time to act, which means selling the XS for some funds.

I have 3 CB550s that I intend to make 2. One an all-out cafe and the other a semi-restoration for sale. I also scored a low mileage, first year, 1978 GS1000e that will replace the XS as my daily scoot.

Here's mine. 2009 Kawasaki ER6n bought new in early 2010. Looked at this and the Gladius, decided I liked the wacky headlight on this better than the overall styling of the Gladius.

Slick HD, I like it! I can't help but think with a "cafe" solo seat it would be even better.

And I'm actually digging the seat the way It is. The bike screams bad ass! I like it!

agreed the mufflers really tie in the tuck and roll look, plus i dig the 48 in general... wife is all over me for one for her

This one is actually a Nightster with a 48 tank. I like the small, flat bottom tank but not the fat front tire the 48 has.

I was planning on doing a cafe seat at some point but to do it right the frame rails have to be cut off at the shocks. I haven't got up the nerve to do it yet.

A cafe seat would look bad on that thing. I think it looks great just as is.

All a matter of opinion of course.

Here are my dailys... 1987 Honda VF700 Magna aka Super Magna (Red) and 1995 VF750 deluxe Magna Purple/White).. Both with less than 20k miles and I have the 2up seats backrest and 6 pack racks but I like all of my bikes to have solo seats. The pictures shows the 87 without the bottom cowling which I didn't have at the time but have now since purchased and installed, much better looking with it... I personally love the 87 super more. It has a 6 speed tranny vs the 5 on the 95 so far better at 120++ MPH. :D Not only that but the supers are not near as common, were sold with limited numbers for two years and the look and style is just something different and I love it.
