Mystery wires. Honda CB 350 twin

Dyslexics of the World - Untie!
I need some help identifying 2 mystery wires in the headlight bucket of my 71 CB 350 twin. I have a solid brown wire which should be for the tail light but I don't know why it is routed into the headlight bucket and I have a dark blue wire with a white tracer. The factory wiring diagram does not show any blue wires with white tracers.

Help! :)

Do you own a multi meter or test light? If not... Go get one.

The tailight has to be run through the headlight because they both come on when the ignition is on...

The Brown wire is an extra wire....If I had to guess, it is a probably for the Euro version that has a running light in the headlight reflector...I know a lot of Triumphs had an extra low wattage bulb in the headlight. I use the brown wire in my CB360 to power up a voltmeter....convenient switched 12V.

Blue and white isn;t evem listed in the schematics....Not sure what that my be....

Brown wire does go to the tail light - I powered it up. The odd thing is the only brown wire on the diagram runs from the tail light to the ignition switch. I can't find a mate for this one to plug into. It's odd.

I've got some other wiring things to sort out as well, I'll get it sorted eventually. On the plus side, I have headlight, turn signals (which don't flash for some reason), gauge lights, front brake light switch and some other stuff working.

The brown wire in the headlight shell is for the euro bike with the extra light in the headlight. Not used on US versions, so empty connector..In UK, the park light position lights the tail light and a small bulb in the head light. No small bulb in the headlight means the wire is there, but not connected. Honda did not vary the wiring harness, only the actual items needed by local MV law.

Not yet - ran out of time yesterday. It may be Thursday or so before I get to it.

Blue/white wire was used in some models of Hondas with the headlight switch on the right hand control assembly and the dimmer switch on the left. It acts as the main power for the lights and allows you to turn everything off (including tail and running lights, where applicable).
