New option - Site Supporter subscription

Tim can you automate the time it expires to send a reminder? Don't mind paying each year just nervous about the reoccuring charge so would prefer to renew each year.

Will look into it. Sometimes the recurring subscription actually doesn't work, so in many cases I actually have to update the Site Supporter status manually when it rolls over, and when I do I confirm the member is still visiting the site. If they haven't been on in a while I refund the payment and cancel their recurring subscription.

old thread, but it's the only one that came up in search .... how does one become a supporter now in 2020? I looked all over and couldn't find it. Not on the main page, not on my profile. Not through one of the existing supporter's profiles. I'm stumped!

I need to look at options in the new platform to recognize regular contributors to the content of the site.

I stopped collecting the $10 per year Site Supporter subscription some time ago and moved all those who had been part of the program to permanent Supporter status. The site supports itself with the few sponsors we have, and doesn't cost a ton to keep online (aside from my time), so I don't want to collect money from members any longer and would rather focus on members who post, answer questions etc.
