NEW SITE - BRINGING OVER YOUR OLD BOOKMARKS

I've been asked by a few people about Bookmarks from the old site.

Unfortunately, they did not migrate. However, the old site is still available and you can easily recreate your bookmarks here (well, unless you have 100 of them).

The old site is available at: http://45.79.58.248/forum

If you take the topic ID from the old bookmarked thread:

www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=75114.0

And put it in a new URL like this:

www.dotheton.com/index.php?threads/75114/

You'll find the same thread on the new site and can bookmark it here.

Hey Tim,

BTW, Chrome also reports that this page is 'trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources' and blocks them. Everything seems to work fine, just thought you'd like to know. I have AdBlockerPlus running, BTW.

Yeah - I noticed the scripts and am looking into it. I'm working on full HTTPS security for the site and that might be part of it.

i just started coming back since the new site started, I like it so far, but where are the new bookmarks located?
I don't see a tab to access them anymore.

At the top of the thread you will find a Watch option and then you can access your list of Watched Threads and also get notifications etc when new posts are made.

Hi Tim, sorry to dig this up but I couldn't get that link to work. Is it possible I'm just too late and the old site is gone for good?

Gone for good, but the old links should work I think. Try them and PM me an example if you find they aren't working. Since migrating the site a year ago I figured out a way to trick the old URL's to point to the new site properly (I think).

...realized after typing the above that of course you don't have the links as you'd need access to the old site to get them. Not sure if I can somehow dig them up out of the old database (not even sure I still have the old backup).

No worries, I was able to find the old bookmark I was looking for by just searching on the new site. Figured it was worth asking though. Thanks!
