Here’s the ‘90 I’m working on for a buddy. It has a F2 tank as well. Someone before him did an absolute hack job on the stock subframe to mount up a Ducati Monster seat. I scrapped the stock subframe and made my own for it. I still need to fab and mount up the electronic tray but it’s getting there.

Good luck with your build!

Later, Doug
Can you take a pic of the tank mounts? I can't find any good ones online and would love to see how folks have done it.

Tank on but just sitting. also new plugs and oil filter to change out the oil. its black as pitch and the plugs that we pulled so far are sooty black, it was running rich before parked. Dual plug heads, went with the iridium plugs, was a $65 bill for the 4 and apparently the front has one plug that is a bitch to change. Just got backs out and need a thin walled socket to tighten the new plugs in.

Got carbs reassembled and mounted. Still need ro oil filters and figure out fuel lines and connect throttle. We may get to test fir soon. Took a lot longer to get the carbs done than I thought.

Temporary tank and we can fire her up. Fresh oil and filter and lubed up throttle cables. Nice crisp throttle. It was sticking before.

Well it fired. I took the choke off too soon and we drained the battery too much. Charging back up. It will need a new one. Try again in 20 min or so.

Petcock is out for delivery so we should be able to sort the tank mounts. Then is body work and paint and ride the wheels off it.

Yep, he's picked a colour scheme too. He wants to paint it like this. Not sure if we will black out the rims or not.

got the sewing machine out last night and sewed up a new cover, then had to take Magoo out for some driving practice. He failed his parallel parking last week and wants lots of practice. Will get the cover stapled up and pics tonight hopefully. Then we need to get over to Maine to buy the paint and a battery at 50% cheaper price than here and we'll just need a warm day to get it in paint!

Oh sweet! Sounds like it’s running great, that thing is going to be a blast.

Thanks, I think so too. I'm so used to starting with a bike hauled out of a field or in pieces, this one has been fast to get done so far. A few repairs on the tail and it will be ready for paint.
