Oil tank for scrambler

Hi gents, I´m running a tuned up Ace 50. But now I´ve bought a 1992 Yamaha 660XTZ Tenere that I´m turning in to a "scrambler". (60´s Triumph style with mud tires etc.). The oil is originally in the frame, but I´ve deleted that, cut off all the pipes and welded it shut. What can be a good idea for a oil-tank now? Best Place, I Think could be under the seat (shortened the original seat frame about 5" and will mount a leather flat track seat).

Any ideas for oil tank?

Curent look, will lower rear end, cut rear frame a little more, paint frame and tank black/dark grey, ad old school lights and speedo/rev., put on some really rough mud tires (ie. Maxxis.)

But how to solve an oil tank? (Find a NOS XT600, buy custom, fabricate?). All help and input apriciated. Thx!

I could sell you a Brit one but fittings would be wrong and would not fit your frame well . You could start by mocking one up in cardboard . you will need to figure out were and what to use for filler feed, return lines and vents With proper mock up I could fab one out aluminum , steel, or stainless

Sorry, missed the answer. I've bought an old XT500 oiltank, fitted it left rear under the seat and built a battery box/bracket for the oiltank under sadle/over mono-shock. Just tacked it up, but fit is good. Will use a mix of the plumbing from my bike and from the oiltank, leave it to a hydraulic-company to make new hoses out of the fittings and then route it under the engine.
