12" is plenty of lift to get the rear wheel off the ground. The angle of the arms almost suggest it slots into the bottoms of front forks, if it's indeed a stand of some form. But the size of the material and those spindly little wheels don't scream 'stand' to me.
ok I got some more info on it from where I got it. A local BMW/husky dealer moved and this did not make it in the move. It has wheels and is a part from the manufacturer.
