Tabs welded on for Rearsets.
I was initially concerned about the strength, but after getting them welded, they are rock solid.
A few smacks with a 4lb sledge and not a budge.
shocks look great man! you sure that is not oging to leave you really scruched up where the rear sets sit? they seem pretty high and back. can you get your toe under the shifter?
Kinda
I had originally bought a pair from a 750, but wasn't happy with the way the linkage fit for the left rear set.
The 1000 left rear set was much better, so rather than buying both, I bought just the left one.
There's some minor differences, like one of them has a slit in the peg, and the other doesn't.
The major difference is I think one has a different angle on the V bracket.
It offsets from the other by maybe .5 to 1 inch. I have adjustable plates, but I think I'll have to fab up a different plate.
The difference might not be that noticeable, but we'll see once I sit on it. (FONZIE)
Mounted the rear wheel and mocked up the rear hoop with some tape since I haven't had a chance to weld it in yet.
Took some finagling to get it to fit like I thought it might.
Looks like I'll need some CB1100F shocks, but looks pretty rad IMO.
why not have them weld a 45 for our seat hoop? that would look cool and work, or you doing it for the seat pan more? wheel looks great see ya around 7
ooh ya PAINT THOSE FOOT CONTROLS!
The hoop follows the contour of the seat and yes, I've made a pan that the electronics will sit on.
Also, there's not much room for the tail light, and the hole is already cut
For now, I plan on just replacing the foot control pegs with some black ones.
Maybe in the fall I'll have the rest powder coated.
plate will get you pulled over in IL... they are nuts on them now. has to be horizontal man vertical will not work... also roll it around a basket ball pole or use a sand bag and big pipe, will be much smooooother and not have all the creases in it
Not much going on right now.....
I took all the tape off my harness and am cleaning the wires up.
A big thanks to Joe for the idea with the expandable sleeving.
I've got lots of wires to re-route too.
Next I'll be putting my control wires inside the handlebars.
I'm not really a quitter, so I spent around 4 hours making holes in the Lossa bars and fishing through the wires.
There's like a dozen on the left control, so it was really hard!
