Overgrown Triumph 1200 cafe racer?

First of all, I am not sure exactly where I should put this build. I don't feel it fits in with the rest of the cafe racers on here, but I am not building a street fighter, either. If admin wants to move it, feel free.

I started with a fully faired, overweight 2000 Triumph Trophy 1200. As of now, i have a stripped down, naked bike. I have a 7" single headlight picked out for it. I used Triumph Speed-Triple clip-ons and mounted them below the upper triple clamp to facilitate a nice low mounting point. I have removed the pannier mounting brackets, and am looking for a set of Keihins to replace my Mikunis.

Let me know what you think!

Here is what it started out as:

And this is it now:
This picture still has the side luggage mounting brackets:

The factory air box is a nightmare to service on this bike! As soon as I get it and the carbs off, I will replace them with Keihins and run K&N pods.

Here it is with the panels and seat sitting on it with the mounts removed.

Its starting to warm up a bit, so its time to get back to work. I have mocked up the exhaust, I am going to wait on cutting the cans down. I figure I will try it out complete at first, and if I don't like them, then I will cut them down. I can't un-cut them if I cut them first and don't like it. ;)

I removed the side bag brackets and some more plastic under the seat and re ran the rear light wires inside part of the frame to get them out of harms way.

Well, I have not really been updating this thread. However, that is not the case with the bike. ;)

Its about 98% done, I need a couple relays for the headlight, but other than that, I redid the mess of wires in this thing, and everything is all nice and neat now. I HATE messy wiring!

Man, from that rear 3/4 angle, that seat looks freakin HUGE.
I wonder if you couldn't section about 6" out of there?

It is big, I agree. I was thinking about shortening it but if I leave it as is, I still have the ability to reattach the mounting brackets for the side bags if I want to take it on a longer trip. So, at least for now, it will stay this way.

I also just wanted to say that the D&D pipes probably made for a Ducati half this size. If I keep the revs low, I can keep it quiet but as soon as I open it up... :D It definitely is pretty sweet sounding.
