It is suppose to be a bit wet in the morning but nice in the afternoon...

Blown knee plus an overseas trip = no spendy/walky/findy of cool shit for me.

Sounds like a $5 ticket should get you in and be able to see everything. At least I hope so.

I just got back from Port Dover and i'm beat. Going to sit this one out. I don't need any more stuff.

Won't be riding down, gotta take the cage in case I find a spare XS650 engine, cuz you never know.....

Found tonight that the noise is coming from the intake end of things on my current engine. Still don't know what it could be.
 
So, who all went? What did you get? I saw Noel walking out with some mufflers, and gathering info on Commando 750's. Can't say that I saw anyone else, though I did see 78kz's 650 out in the lot, but not him.

I walked away without buying anything, but I set up with a guy to pick up a spare 75 650 engine with about 5000kms on it. Will likely be getting it in the next few weeks.

Will post some pics I took of some sweet rides later.
 
Dang! I could use a spare engine too - if you find another one let me know - top end condition isn't critical - I'm looking for a decent bottom end to refurbish and then move my newly minted top end onto.
 
So, while not my best swap meet ever (Tommaselli adjustable clubmans for $10 was about my best deal ever I think a couple years back) I did get a couple of things I needed and wanted.

Got a spare Tommaselli Matador 'style' lever. I have two already, but for $5 I can't pass up a spare.

Also a Manx style fairing, just for fun. $40 compared to $80+shipping from Clubmanracing.com (might buy their $20 mounting brackets though)

And a new mini-speedo for the XS650. Same one Mikesxs sells for $40 - I paid $20 and it looks great on the bike (and keeps me legal)

And Pat set me up with a small chunk of self-adhesive seating foam to put under my seatpan to cushion it and raise it off the frame. Should do the trick and better than the stuff I was playing with. Price was right ;)

I went, but even though I had a pocket full of cash, I only managed to spend $25(including refreshments). Got a Daytona steering damper for 10 bucks and a YZ80 gas tank to use as an aux tank for working on the XS. There was a dude there that had some nice Davida helmets but I hadn't planned on spending 350 bucks today. It's always a good event to meet up with people you haven't seen in a while :)
 
I had to stop myself from buying stuff I didn't need. I could have had a few nice deals on stuff I would have loved to have, but such is life when you have limited space, and 4 projects on the go (2 of which aren't mine).
 
Steering damper would have been nice - will have to find one someday. I was mainly on the hunt for signal lights and a tail light for the 650 project, but didn't find anything I liked. I'm sure if I had spent more time I would have gotten my ignition switch sorted out and maybe the petcocks I need.
 
I was tempted on some solo seats, but in the end didn't buy anything. :(

However, someone from the board bought an AMAZING running bike for peanuts... (but Im not gonna steal his thunder....even tough I'm secretly jealous!!), Be ready to see it make its debut on thursday night!!.. ;D

Sorry man, was always either busy chattin someone up or on the other side of the area. Thought I'd see ya again through the day, but no dice. I left about 1. I'll hunt you down at the next meet though..... pounce on you like a tiger!!! Lol, did that sound gay?
 
My dad bought an xs400 for $650 bucks running and safetied. My brother needed a new helment and I needed a new jacket. so it worked out well for me to drive it to my shop in Fergus. He doesn't have his license yet. The bike's in decent shape. Needs a tune up as I had to hold the throttle on to keep it running at the lights.
Always thought hwy 24 would be a nice ride to take.

Nope. This one was the brown one by the dealer with the helmets and jackets in a trailer. Died on me at an intersection with 2 cops investigating a car. No plates on the back. Did have the safety with me but my brother didn't take any chances as he "casually" blocked the view while I fixed the bike. Had it going in a minute and was off.
