PARIS SWAP!

I didn't see any of you guys there........
I was beside the display of vintage bicycles Friday and Saturday.
I went with empty pockets and a full truck and came home with full pockets and an empty truck.
Bought an RD on Friday and sold it on Saturday for double what I paid for it ;D
I didn't want to bring home my un-titled CB750 frame, so at 2:20 on Saturday I put a "FREE" sign on it and it was gone 15 minutes later.......I wonder if that guy was a DoTheToner?????

Hey Noel, was that you trying on another vintage leather jacket on Saturday morning? I was looking for patches but didn't see any. No guts to talk to anybody though. Saw lots of really cool looking bikes but couldn't find what I was looking for. Had to keep my hands in my pockets a couple of times, otherwise i would have had another project, wifie wouldn't have liked that! One at a time!!

Noel was wearing a white t shirt, just like in his picture. I was talking to him. Never met him before Saturday. nice guy!

I thought so, I think I have to get out to a meet really soon. you guys going to be out this week?

I rode up Thurs., did 450 mile ride up. Pulled over for speeding b/t Buffalo & Niagara by a very cool NYS trooper who only wrote me up fo an imaginary bald tire. When I looked at the ticket later I was in a work zone so I could have really been screwed. I went to the swap Fri around 1pm. My Canadian friend although he rides a V strom is not a bike nut like myself so he was out of steam in about 2 hours. I bought 7 sets of SBK brake pads for various jap and Triumphs for only $10 for all. Found a Cycle mag with Seca Turbo on the cover as a gift for a friend that has one. I went by the cb350 booth next to the bicycles several time but no one was there. My highlight was talking to the incredibly cute girl from Hamilton tourism bureau, poor girl's job was to be nice to a creepy American tourist coming up with dumb questions just to chat her up! I enjoyed talking to all the vendors there. Our AMCA meets are kind of filled with stuffy old farts with high dollar American antiques. I saw alot of decent prices on things but knowing I couldn't carry much home I didn't buy much more.
Friday night Burlington had a big music fest on the lakefront and we spent the night down there. Sat I hung out with some real life Trailer Park Boys who live next to the tourist area at Port Dalousie in these run down cottages. From there I went to the flattrack races at Welland County M/C. It was a real cool older club, very friendly and invited me back to their clubhouse after the races.
I had a blast and enjoyed meeting some new people. I did 1200 miles in 4 days without hitting more than a couple rain drops, and my 1050 Tiger ate up the miles pretty comfortably. I don't get that Tim Horton's thing, is that a required stop for all Canadians before they go somewhere?

Sounds like it was a great time and the weather ended up perfect dispite the warnings. Convinced my dad, who's new to riding, to get some practice and ride with me from Guelph down. Had to stop in Cambridge when he noticed a pool of oil while we sat at a light.
Gasket on my bike split so back home we went. :-[

oh well, there's always Milton in the fall.

Can't a guy go for a piss???

Sorry I missed you. I wanted to look around at some stuff, but didn't buy anything.
I sold all my garbage, but the 3 nice pieces I had I came home with.
Anyone want a really good front end for a 1970 CB350? You buy it and I'll throw in the chain guard and tool box FREE!
