Patina-ed paint

Hi,

I need to paint some parts. Some will need to look like enameled parts. Should I use a Rustoleum Enamal for this, their appliance paint, or something else as the topcoat? Which will patina best, and do you have any tips please?

Cheers

Right off the bat I'll say I'm not a painting expert. I think if I were attempting this I'd try to paint the parts to match as best as I could get them and then carefully put on very thin dustings of satin clear to take away a bit of the "new" sheen. I have been very successful using the Rustoleum appliance paint in the past but it's only available in black, white, stainless, biscuit, and almond. I've had pretty good luck w/ the Rustoeum 2X paints but have found their appliance paint more forgiving when it comes to runs and the final finish; it seemed to me like the stuff was ALMOST foolproof, but YMMV, I haven't used it but I've heard about lots of folks using the VHT Roll Bar & Chassis paint for bike frames and brackets.

I was wondering if the epoxy in the appliance paint would react/badlt to the relicing process, which uses a solution of vinegar and salt
