a friend of mine Jesse Evers wrote this Photo bucket fixer

this one is for firefox it will make the images show again

OK i fixed the link i dont know what was up as i just copied it from the cx500 forum

here is jesses fix

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-fixer/?src=search

I downloaded Firefox. Clicked the link and it just gives an error.

Bummer.

Error here as well.
This would be amazing though I'm so tired of looking at dead links.

I used the Chrome version from that link ^ and it works like a charm.

I have been using the ryan-myers fix for a while now and it seems to work fine. AT least until photobucket finds a new way to screw with us.

Oh dear lord in heaven above the internet is fixed!

I have been so pissed off, I read a lot of forums, mostly old posts and how to's and this just saved my life hah

Hey guys, creator of that extension here. I think @cxman pasted the link in twice by accident. Here are functioning links for Chrome and Firefox:

Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-fixer/ogipgokcopooepeipngiikdkpmcpkaon
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-fixer/

I'll ask cxman to fix the link he posted as well, to avoid confusion. Thanks for giving the extension a try!

Worked great, thank you!

It uses a fix that one of the guys on the CX500 forum showed me, where by adding "~original" to the end of a PB image link, the original image is shown again. He was applying it manually to each image, but the extension just does that to each image automatically. If you want to see the code, it's here: https://github.com/TheAtomicGoose/pbfix

Call me dumb, but I can't figure out what to do after clicking on the link. Pretty vague as it doesn't look like anything connected to correct the PB issue. Can anyone walk me through the steps to take?

You need to use Google Chrome, but try this link for the add-on ---> https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-embed-fix/naolkcpnnlofnnghnmfegnfnflicjjgj?hl=en A window will pop up with a blue button in the top right [+ ADD TO CHROME]

When I click the blue button it takes me to a page to download chrome. I already have chrome in my system. Now how to I connect that to anything related to PB?

Once it adds to Chrome, it automatically fixes the embedded images. It's been working on my system, but I've had it downloaded for a while.

contact jesse on the cx forum his member name is the atomicgoose

or here @ jlevers

he has versions for many of the browsers i use it on firefox

this is huge. Thanks. It looked like PhotoBucket was defacto holding all of the worlds grassroots knowledge hostage without a way to pay your way back in, which is a weird move. I hadn't been using forums much since they made the change. Everything was broken.

-Cheers.

There is a way back in and it is by paying to upgrade.
