sbaugz: No fair, not the same bike.. can't be... OH MY....Holey SHIT it is!!!

Agreed. The Savage is pretty cool bike to start with- and it's much better with that kit.

A Kit?

Sure 'nuff. Its a kit allright. Now my secret is out.

The kit went together pretty well and was mostly just a bolt together affair. I did a lot of powder coating, threw some different tires on there, chopped the front fender, etc, etc to make it my own. The folks at RYCA chopped the tank and relaced the rear wheel to an 18".

Here is a before and after of my 78' kz400 cafe. This is the best before pic I have my laptop got fried so I lost the 1st pics I had before I tore it apart. It was a $100 bike sitting in the front yard of a frat house.

HI Guys,

Thought I'd share my recently completed '71 Kawasaki H1A project - don't see too many 2-strokes on here but here goes.

This is what mine originally looked like (but this isn't my bike):

And here's what I'm screaming around on now:

WOW WOW WOW!!!! AWESOME!
Great work man and what a looker to go along with a bike that is very fun to ride!

Thanks, guys. It really is a gas to scoot around on and certainly gets its fair share of attention.

Finally got it up and running at a triples rally in Paris, ON in June. I think there were 19 triples there, many in showroom or nicer condition, along with a few very cool customs.

Cheers,
N.

ugh..

I can't escape this damn thing. Over here, and on xs650.com. Every time I see it I'm reminded of how shitty mine is.

Hehe, yeah I suppose it did. Sarcasm can get lost...

It's a fine example of a well executed xs650. I look at it frequently. Better? :)

To answer your question, yes it is a Morgan. I don't if it's a Matchless motor though. I have been following the new ones from Ace. The Blackjacks are pretty cool too.
