Post a pic of your latest purchase

Yeah, I'm not a welder by trade, but I do have a mig and tig setup. This will probably end up used mostly to heat and bend parts, and anneal material for forming.
Nice, I'm a welder/fabricator by trade. Always love seeing the old tools/machines. Don't repaint any of that stuff haha. Looking forward to seeing some of that metal work!

I'm going to attempt to make my own fenders for the norton/honda hybrid. I might buy a cheap fender as a template so I have a goal for proportions.

Even though I have been actively telling myself "no more bikes/projects" I couldn't pass this one up. I recently picked up this 2021 Coleman ctu200-ex. A kid had bought it new leftover a few years ago from Tractor Supply and rode it around a bit, before the rear axle nut loosened up and let the chain fall off. I paid $100 for the bike, and I gave Bezos $22 for the rest of what I needed to get it on the road. I had an sl70 for pit bike duty that I traded off at Mid Ohio last year, and have missed having a little bike for shenanigans.

Picked up this leather Highway 21 Murtgaugh riding jacket at a local bike shop today. The owner is a friend of mine, and doesn't deal much with appearal, though he got this in a deal from a distributor friend of his. It was his display jacket and is new old stock. Though it's not "vintage" the brass has a bit of tarnish, which I'm a fan of. You can still buy them new for $290, he gave it to me for $60. I've lost about 95 lbs over the last few years, and I was swimming in my joe rocket. Was happy to get a better fitting jacket at a great price!

What do you think of it so far? I'm currently contemplating a lightly used 2021 V7 stone 850
So far so good. I cracked off about 1600 miles the first 6 weeks. Added a taller gel touring seat with a mesh cover, rear Hepco Becker rack, mounts for saddle bags. River Road saddle bags, lower pegs,
I'm a taller guy ,so its more comfortable.
Could use some better suspension ( that will be next)

Great to see you racking up the miles! The bike looks clean and classy.

I recently found a deal on a 2000 model Suzuki GFS1200 "Bandit" that had sat for a couple of years. The carbs cleaned up pretty well, though they gave me a bit of trouble with a few seized pilot jets. It also got a brake/ clutch fluid flush and an oil change, which rendered it more or less road worthy, less a set of tires coming this week.

It's a well ridden bike with 72k on the clock, which shows when you get up close to it, but it still looks presentable enough. It may be a flipper after getting ridden for the fall reason, but it's a bike I've wanted to own since riding a friend of mines about 15 years ago.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at a V7 stone, but in a strange turn of events, My dad ended up seeing one and I think he may end up buying one instead of me, and Ill end up purchasing his 05 Buell XB12S that hes replacing it with. He just turned 62 and is wanting a bit more relaxed of a bike to ride, and honestly, Id rather have the Buell.

Tried to clean the starter button again on the GL. Well I sanded it so much over the years that it finally sanded so far it won't make contact anymore. So ordered a re-pop off Ebay. Now to wire it into the spaghetti mess I made back in 2016 to get the bike ridable for Cabot Trail trip. I was supposed to go back and clean this up but haven't got a round to it LOL.
