congrats bloke, now you just got to wait for the magical garage pixies to visit in the middle of the night (it took the little bastards 10 years to turn up here)
you in a good bit of brisvegas?

EDIT ; just checked back up the page and you're from the gold coast, oops. so the new question is....are you in a good bit of the gold coast?

Thanks guys, first home as well. It is only small but it is mine.

We are right near the new hospital, just on the border of Molendinar and Crestwood. Half way between my work and the missus work.

As for the Garage pixies, I think it might end up becoming a bitsa shed, but that thread is for another time.

I also thought but may e someone can confirm, but does dime city cycles buy those from coneeng.com? I swear a lot of thier items are the same.

I would assume so, DCC doesn't actually make anything. Just resellers.
Surprised they were cheaper.
Any time I have actually found something on their site it has been way more then other places on the web.

Coneeng has been making those for years and makes them for other retailers as well. Saw them back in 2009 when cycle x started carrying them, slightly different back then.

Well, these look good, fresh of the UPS truck.

Two Ironheads to play with. Traded a couple Triumph projects in boxes. Still have two complete, in great shape 305 Dreams to pick up as part of the trade. 305's are in great shape cosmetically, but engines are locked. Luckily, I have Dream engines I can drop in and go.

If you consider wiping up oil spills, finding parts that fall off while riding, and paying too much for beat up parts on EBay fun than you're on point Drewski. ;)

In all honesty, I wish I would've kept my Ironhead. Fun bike. Looking forward to seeing what comes of these two.

For the final overhaul of my wiring I got myself a serious crimping tool:

Could have done much worse for 20 bucks, gotta love ordering from China.

Next up is deciding on the terminals, I currently have a bunch of these:

But I'm contemplating getting these because they look so fancy:

Thoughts?

I'm ordering several dies for the crimper anyway, so that's not an issue.

I bought some of the waterproof blocks but haven't used any yet.
They are quite bulky considering they use relatively small terminals.
The crimpers are great but you may need to close terminal arms to parallel before they work properly (I've only used them on bullets so far)
Got extra dies I'll probably never use as I don't use the 'American' style crimps any more (but you never know ;) )
I also have a smaller pair for electronics even though almost all I do is soldered

Bulkiness is a big no for me, I'm already having trouble cramming everything into my head-light as is.

I did some test crimps and also had to pre-bend the terminals but this die should fix that:

It's made for those bullets so it has ramps to guide everything into the right direction.
