Post a pic of your latest purchase

Looks great, you need a dirtbike now with 35 acres. Enough for a nice woods loop. I am in Fayette county one county southeast of Washington.

WOW Bowman!
You could drink your morning coffee and shoot deer out of those second story back windows. ;) I like your taste in dirt-bikes too.

I dig factory manuals. Got this one for Dads' 81 Gpz1100 (KZ1100-B1) that we are bringing back to life.

Worked like a charm. And God forbid I should strip every other bolt hole, I've got enough spares ;)
Waitin on the (hopefully) last of my carb parts now. Lookin to be on the road again by Saturday afternoon.

Xb, where did you find hard chrome shafting?
i just ordered it from the local do it all steel/supply fab shop
its not hardened, just cold rolled, 1035 i think ...1/2'' shaft something needs to be seriously ammis to bend it

@ Redbird, I used one of those helical insert in a aluminum Buick head once. It worked good in a stripped spark plug hole. Crown Royal aint bad either!!!

Yea, I've used them before on several occasions, with success each time. This was by far the smallest one I'd used so far.

I've also used Crown before on several occasions, but I'll be re-evaluating that products performance tomorrow evening :p

Mailman just dropped off my carb parts...

Odds just got better that I'll be riding this weekend ;D

Thanks, it shouldn't need to be hardened, the shaft is better off bending than snapping ;D
Chrome provides the wear surface for seal and bushing.
I'll try McMaster-Carr, may have been doing wrng search as I was looking for 'chrome piston rod'

Try Thompson Rod in your google search. ;)
On second thought, that is hardened, not chrome plated. :-[
