i " found" a supercharger kit for it and got it

but this year i am just doing the carbs belts and other service and going to ride it as my naked bike

next winter i will put the blower on

as you all know if its not blown it sucks

That would kick serious ass with a blower.

Great bikes! You'll love it! 8)

1999? 2000? :)

Picked up this well maintained, titled and cheap ‘97 BMW F650ST today after a quick road trip. Needs a bit of work but should make a great gas and go bike.

Not the happiest of acquisitions. My dad passed away last week and left me his FJR1300.

It's been sitting outside for about a year and a half. Battery is dead and bike won't start even with a jump. I've been doing some reading and apparently it's common for condensation to form in the tank. This seems pretty likely since it has about 1/4 tank right now. Gonna try to flush the fuel system and replace the plugs and see how it goes.

Plans are to return it close to stock as possible but with LED lighting. New LI-ION battery is already ordered.

Once I get things running again, I'm going down the 101 to San Diego for the last road trip that never seemed to get scheduled...

Sorry to hear that Matt. Here's hoping that last road trip finds you both at peace.

Damn Matt sorry to hear that.
I'm glad you got it though and it's always nice to have something that means something.
