Post a pic of your latest purchase

Video quality isn't bad, but the front camera keeps recording 2-5 seconds then skipping 2 seconds. I'm going to message the seller and see if it is a fluke, or if the thing is crap.

*Edit* I messaged the seller, they responded within a few hours and are going to exchange it. I'll update my opinion once I have the new one.

Picked up a new rear shinko 712 for the old R90/6 airhead. The new 50 mile commute to work, with much of it being on chip n seal really put a hurtin on the wear. Even so, i got about 5,000 miles out of it which seems very fair for a $52 tire (shipped to my door). I'm going with a 100/90-18 instead of the 110/90-18 this time since it is closer to stock size.

Picked up an XL75 for cheap. Felt like it had low compression, turned out the valves were too tight. A quick valve adjustment and it felt like double the compression at the kick start. Bonus was with a little gas sprayed into the carb it started and idled for a few seconds. It needs a carb clean, the front tire it came with installed, and probably the oil filter cleaned out. Then it'll be time for backyard shenanigans.

Those are best bang for buck I've ever used. I also got about 6000 miles out of the rear on the CX500, the 230's on the GL are just as good. I can't justify 4X the cost for better wear when I can change out the tire in an hour a little more often.

same, and heck, my local guy will mount and balance for $10 still. I ain't wiping the dust off of the spoons for that. Like i said, i may go darkside and try a car tire on the back of the v strom and see if i can get 30k miles out of a rear, but honestly that is as much to say i did and see what all the hubbub is about.

Got a new seat from China. 25 inches long which is same length as stock. Only $47 shipped.

Nice CB160. Great little bikes. And that's one of the last ones made. The alloy fork legs are a giveaway. Most you see had steel fork sliders with a different front fender.

Got myself a great barn find last fall - 1967 CB160 - not running when I found it, but went through the carbs myself and cleaned the points and wala!

New tubes and tires mounted, and now for a new set of handlebars and grips and she'll be looking "classy", if not a little rustic.

Love that little thing, good job on it.

Looks like a good fit.

From which vender?

Might try that myself.

Not sure but the quality is pretty OK. Nor the best vinyl. But for the price it's great. Hard to find a long length. A lot of seats are way too short. Rode it around today. Runs super good.

If not for your rear fender, would it sit level with the back of the frame?

I scored some new in the box, never mounted 13" Progressive shocks for my FXRP. Barber Vintage Swap meet gold for 50$. These will be a perfect upgrade swap from my worn oem units.
