My buddy Greg is starting his 11yo w the basics of stick welding.
Greg helped to guide Emerson with the straight beads but the 2 curved beads at top of pic are 100% Emerson.

Bought a cheap titled 5x10 trailer. Plans are to un-redneck the tongue, put in a 4" drop axle and add folding wheel chocks. Maybe even powdercoat the frame, but that depends on cost. But for $200 it was way cheaper than even a HF trailer, and has full size tires.

Brought this orphan home last weekend, and have already started the teardown. $200 with a title, and it even runs. Bought a 50-year old bike for my 50th. Love these little Hondas.

Plywood. It'll get new plywood when I start working on it. The problem with sheet metal is when it's thick enough to not warp too bad over time it's heavy and pricey.

Got a good deal on the xs750 tank for a cb350. Got it for just $90. Should look interesting.

Got this NIB for $100. Retails for $2K. Ethanol fireplace. Giving it to the wife for X-Mass but now I will have to build a surround for it. I am thinking a box with stone and a live edge mantle. Reached out to the guy I got the slabs of butternut from to see if he has anything I can use. 0 clearance and no vents or flue and can be used as back up heat in a power failure.

Thinking something like this with a live edge.

Maybe no vents or flue, but if the CO isn't removed you end up dead. And it will put out CO.

Yep. CO monitor will be installed with it. We have an HRV when power is on the recerculates the air 24/7 but when powers out we will need a window cracked

Sitting Garaged for 20 plus years, very low millage example..looks like it'll clean up well. Tad over 1400 miles , gonna need a good going over and much elbow grease to say the least!

Not certain if I'm going to restore original or do something custom....any thoughts and prayers LOL [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]are certainly welcome.

Looking forward to gaining some knowledge to get this old classic going.
Sitting Garaged for 20 plus years, very low millage example..looks like it'll clean up well. Tad over 1400 miles , gonna need a good going over and much elbow grease to say the least!

I'm hoping to bring this Hopeless 400 back to life Brent.
Certainly agree, the KH's were just a demise of the great H and S series Triples from late 60,s thru early 70s. and possibly low production numbers that nobody wanted .

Basically a one year bike in the US. Emissions standards ended them in 77. Our local Kawasaki dealer wouldn't order the 250 or the 400. That is a nice example.
