I need to learn how to play.

Have one, no idea how to play it.

It is, a Bullseye edition, and I happen to be a lefty.

Picked it up at a yard sale about 7-8 years ago for a crisp Benjamin.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't believe Les Paul ever produced a left hand version of that guitar. The head inlays are also the wrong color, authentic guitars are pearl. There are however quite a number of knockoffs that do make a left hand variant. So if guitar store guy is willing to pay in the thousands you should go for it. You stand to make a killing on it.

I don't know dick about guitars. I was told lefties were made in one run, and are exceptionally rare.

Maybe it is a fake. Will still look good enough on the wall.

The knobs are also wrong, as the Les Paul knobs never had spun faces like those.

For the record, I don't know shit about guitars either. I was just telling my buddy about the guitars in this thread (he plays in a band that isn't famous but is successful enough to have a 50ft tour bus), he asked to see them, and according to him he doesn't think the guitar is legit. Again, sorry to be the bearer of bad news (though he could be very wrong...).

I do agree it will look great on the wall either way.

Looking at a couple $7K+ guitars online, the knobs are the same spun faces.

I'm going to give Gibson a call tomorrow with the serial and see what they have on it.
