Post a pic of your latest purchase

I wish the Arai Rapide-Neo would come to the US.

About 10 days ago I got these pieces from Sparck Moto. Del livery was prompt, even with Covid 19 screwing things up.

They look great. These will be for my Titan. Injuries, illness and a big move over the last 4 years or so have intervened, I hope to get this bike going before too long. :)

Nice! You bought a garage/shop! Pretty handy that it has a house attached as well.

Lol, it's only been a day, but it's already been a hassle. The electric company turned off the power this morning then played dumb. " we don't know why it's off, have you tried flipping the breakers?" Then when they went out " it was off at the line, we don't know how that happened."

The water company, " you can't set it up online or over the phone, print this form out, fill it out, and bring it to our office. While you do that we'll go ahead and turn the water off so you will have to pay a reconnect fee."

And they wonder why people go after government officials.

Congratulations on the new house, condolences on dealing with the utilities.

Thanks! I'm going to have to get an electritian out to add a 220 line in the garage. Can't use either mill without power.

The utilities have been a huge hassle. But you don't really get an option on those. If they had to compete they'd really have to improve service.

Congrats on the house man, I want one of them. Specifically the garage (I rent mine), but the house that comes with it would be a bonus too. We live in an apartment, very little outdoor space, right in the city - nice park over the road but damn. Soon hopefully.

I understand that. I've lived in apartments and don't miss it. House prices really vary by area too, the 1100sq/ft house we had in washington sold for over double what we paid for this 1600sq/ft house in Oklahoma. Interest rates are going down, with the VA loan I got a rate of 2.875.

I loved living in an apartment in Chicago but working on bikes was a total PIA. Managed to restore and build a bike in my bedroom once and had fun sneaking it out at 3am the night before annual inspection.

Garage with attached house is a great way to go. Congrats.

I've welded stuff together on an apartment balcony. Probably not allowed. But I understand the pain of needing to do anything mechanical while living in an apartment.

Thanks! I'm really tempted to buy a bigger lathe to go with the bigger garage. My little atlas has done a ton of work, but with the limited depth of cut its painfully slow. The grizzly 14x40 with a 2" spindle bore is tempting.

House with detached garage is what I'd do if I ever had to move, but we've been in this one since '85 (same address since '80). Basement garage was a mistake. Should have been a small laundry room, maybe a small electronics/home repair area and larger living area (that is now junk storage). I'm pretty restricted on things that make smells. No welding, no painting, have to let bikes cool off and air out before rolling them in. With washer and dryer sharing the small space, I can get four bikes in it, but can't do any work. Have to put one on the other side in the "family room" area - junk accumulation - which is a tight maneuver. A two-car detatched (could have an enclosed breeze way, I guess) would be ideal.

I hear you Pid. I have same issue with basement garage and smells. I do however hope to build a 2 car detached on property someday for working on cars and bikes. I just paired my ebay BT to my new phone. I paid 60 ea for 2 and going on 4th season and they work fine. They even pair to mh buddies 350 units.

I got a pair of those fodsport m1s headsets. They were around 60ea on ebay. They let me listen to music, the wife has called me when I was on the highway and could hear me. For the price they are decent.
