Newer Ram's are incredibly nice, especially the interior. I love my Rebel.

Congrats on the new ride. You get one with air ride?
Yes, adjustable air ride. I haven't loaded or towed w her yet. But the ride is quite amazing. And I can raise/lower the whole truck w the push of a button.
Is your Rebel with the eco-diesel?

No, I have the 5.7.

Towing is so nice with air. It auto levels you out when you put any amount of weight on it. I've had right about 9K behind it, pulled nice as could be.

Thats great news, glad your happy. My buddy has the 5.7 in his 2021 Classic Warlock. Its a neat looking truck and sounds great when he gives it the juice. Chances are he will never use it for towing though. As of now I really have no plans to tow anything but the 2 bikes. Though, I am planning on upgrading the 6x10 enclosed trailer we have now to a 7x16 enclosed trailer in the near future. Rachels Can-am 600 is a giant space hog.

I needed a modular helmet with communications. I've been looking for a while but the helmets were either out of stock or too small for my bucket head. Sena has started producing a modular called the Outrush. I found one in my size on Amazon at a very good price and took a chance. It arrived today and so far so good.

Cool, what did that set you back? I like the idea of built in com if not too much $$$. Now that I am an instructor for bikes a Modular for teaching is a good idea.

They retail for $199 USD but I got a better deal at $178. With taxes it was $190. Sena is coming out with a revised version and I think they are going to be in the $250 USD range.

I will look into that if one can be found to trial fit. My head fit HJCs almost perfectly.
Bit more spendy, but if you like your current lid, and happen to be looking at a new GoPro, the Sena 10C Evo is stellar. Plenty loud, Bluetooth, intercom, 4K action cam all in one. I've been pretty impressed with mine thus far.

Thanks, but no need for a video camera. I have a China clone and a mount on my camera. Have used it once to try it out two years ago. Just not into being a vlogger. My newest lid is from 2016, and the wife's a year or two older. We both use SMH5s and that has been "good enough" for talking to each other and connecting to our phones. The price on the Sena lid puts is close to the HJC without a com. Just sold the GL1800 and bought a Spyder RTL that we will tour on in the future, so safety being equal, comfort is prime as we do ~8hrs/day in them.

Trailer.jpg

After many years of thinking Kendon trailers were too expensive (and borrowing one from a friend when needed) I retired and made plans to drag my Guzzi out west next month. I thought I was going to upgrade the POS folding utility trailer I've had for 20+ years, but after searching ads for a month or two I finally found a used Kendon that did seem too overpriced and pulled the trigger. My search for an M900 will have to be delayed I guess. But now having moved this trailer around the garage all I can think is,

Why the hell did I wait so long? This thing is so easy to move around, fold up, slide up against the wall.

I sold my old trailer. That meant I had to unfold it to make it ready to tow away. That was a 45 minute ordeal that involved dealing with a heavy, awkward trailer I thought was going to kill me on a couple occassions. It SUCKED going from folded to towable with that thing. Doing it alone was asking for trouble.

The Kendon? It's up against a wall and if I got a call to go pick someone's bike up right now, I could be on the road, trailer in tow, in about five minutes. The Kendon is SO much easier to deal with. After messing with the folding piece of crap for the last time I was surprised at just how happy I was to see it go.

And selling it? My first thought was to ask $50. My wife convinced me to ask $250. I listed it Friday evening and by 8 Saturday morning I had about 15 inquiries and it was gone by 9:30.

Now to sell a few more things to get my Monster fund back on track...

Good buy!!!! A couple of weeks ago I borrowed a Kendon single rail trailer. It looked just like the one you bought so guessing it is the same model. I pulled it 700 miles empty and then 700 miles home with a Sportster on it. It pulled straight the whole time. I am a big fan!

Nice get! Do yourself a huge favor and replace those dime store carabiners with a proper set of hooks. It'd be a shame if you lost a bike because it jumped off the hitch. It'd be a tragedy if it also ended up in oncoming traffic and took somebody out as well.
