Post a pic of your latest purchase

Here's a picture. It did come with seat/airbox/stator cover and frame bar, I took them off seeing how far down the mouse nest went. Luckily the reeds stopped it from getting into the engine, but the reed cage is trashed.

Haven't been around much (yet), but thought I'd post a few shots of a 10 year sleeper that a guy spent some money on and then dropped. (I'll pick it up...when the temperatures fall off a bit in central Arizona)...

A really clean CB750K5. Just in case I'd like to go back to "original" configuration, everything was included (even non-powdercoated wheels) except the 4 into 4 exhaust.

This one is a very clean survivor and I am happy to have it in the "collection".

Did a big horse trade deal with Hurco over the weekend. Nothing like having friends and bad habits.

Pic 1- Kawasaki Bighorn 350: potentially locked up. Comes from cxman via North Carolina (There’s also a CB500 survivor in the pile from him).

Pic 2- Yamaha IT200: runs, but a PO welded the shifter to the shift shaft. Needs plastic and tank.

Pic 3- Honda XL250r: runs, but needs seals and mostly gone through. The tank has dents, but it’s good enough to run. I’ll probably seek out a mint tank and swap them out when trail riding. This comes via Checkered Past Cycles in Galesburg, MI. After my street titled 1987 XR250r was stolen, Chas and Ted sent this XL south to save a guy in remission.

Pic 4- Honda XR250r: this is a roller that came with two sets of plastic and a tank. Searching for an engine.

edit:
Pic 6- Forgot the crown jewel to this trade! I sent a mostly finished CB350 to Hurco for his sidecar and he sent me his pile of RD/TZ/RDLC 350. I’m already building this bike. LOL

It was a good weekend man. While I'll admit it was hard to see the ardee go, I know you'll get the bike done the way it deserves and way quicker too. Lol

Just looked back and I started the build in June of 2016 lol.

Here's the gem end of the deal. Soon to have a sidecar mounted to it.

I just picked up a cb125 and xr200 motor for $100. They are dirty and the XR will need everything but they are getting harder to find.

I got this little cb I’m making into an enduro. I am searching for a cl100 exhaust for it if anyone has one laying around.

I mentioned an IT200 trade I made with Hurco in an earlier post. It came with an orange XR tank and a shift lever welded to the shift shaft. Hurco and Mr E were able to find me the right tank at Mid Ohio and I got the parts to fix the shifter.

Nothing more expensive than a free bike they say. I got a clean titled 1982 Gpz 550 for basically free. A legit barn bike, it was stored next to the owners 1958 Ghia. My buddy Rich was offered the 550 bike by the owner and since he was going to scrap the bike for stuff to turn into metal art, I proposed a trade to save the little Gpz from destruction. I traded him my 1980 GS1000G instead. It's been taking up space in my barn for years and needed to go anyway. The 550 was a former track bike but at some point PO's son put a new battery in backwards, something happened and "it hasn't been the same since".

Front brakes dont' work, neither does the clutch. Tank is pretty nice inside, body is good. Seems to have had a decent repaint at some point. Once I cleaned most of the bird crap off it, my wife became interested in so we'll see how much it's going to take to get rideable again. I have a 82' Gpz1100 at my dads house, this 550 might have found a home. (again...we'll see)
