Project Trinda

new and much improved rear section:

dscn0495db.jpg

OEM passenger peg mounts - making it easier for pretty ladies to hop on the back. also, check out that ignition switch holder I made.

updates.
dscn0499kr.jpg

I relocated the ignition switch to shorten up and consolidate all my wiring
dscn0498s.jpg

...which made my upper tree redundant
dscn0500c.jpg

so I filled the key hole with weld and milled off the excess material

making an aluminum oil tank.
dscn0501x.jpg

drilled out to my own specifications; the filler hole so it would only be accessible from under the seat, spaced out the mounting lugs, and offset the vent lug.
dscn0503rb.jpg

mounted for mock up (won't hold much oil in this state). check out that sweet spade gusset. here's how she sits now:

just posting an idea i need to save for the exhaust - and it's a neat bike regardless:

Looks cool, but shouldn't the outside one be the pipe that is twisted? I only say this because the two lengths of pipes will be nowhere near matching in length. Or, since it's not a "race bike" it won't matter? I always thought they should all be of equal length ???

you're definitely right - it's something I had noticed as well. I'm not sure why that guy even bothered doing it, but you can rest assured, I'll be lengthening the correct pipe if I do this. It just looks like a neat way to drop the exhaust which I'll need to do in order to run it under the oil tank, tucked up tight into the bike.

They have got to be the highest rear sets I have seen. The rider must have very short legs.

Pipes looks cool, being an inline 4, I am guessing the same treatment is on the other side, or is there a 4 into 2 in the system?

Holy shit true.
How the hell would you even ride that

Dunno!

They look like foot rests only, as on a third look I now notice the hand gear change knob (in pink). So you reach under your left thigh to change gears...

Classic.

In the chopper world, high mids are the new hot thing for some reason. One of the other apprentices at Choppahead wants to build high mids w/ jockey shift (don't know if you noticed that about the picture) - but on a legit hard tail boneville. This bike pictured here seems to be an amalgamation of too many different themes and styles to work, but somebody loves it and I suppose that's all that matters. Here's the chopper style I'm talking about:

I'm told it's like sitting back in a couch with your legs up - and the ladies get wet from watching you reach under your knee to shift (or so I'm told)

UPDATES!!!
dscn0533v.jpg

new foot peg idea.
dscn0534z.jpg

new foot peg mounts using original triumph hardware
dscn0541k.jpg

modified an A65 BSA pedal. cut and bent. machined a triumph brake thinger to go through the engine mount
dscn0539u.jpg

the pedal is connected to a heim joint on the back side connected to a GSXR1000 cylinder, connected to a Ducati 851 reservoir.
dscn0540q.jpg

oil tank is nearly done. just a little more cleaning up to do
dscn0537u.jpg

headlight is mounted
dscn0538pu.jpg

super snug fitment
dscn0542c.jpg

coming together, slowly but surely.
dscn0536d.jpg

time for a fancy kicker pedal.
dscn0543x.jpg

the spindle from an Animal sealed aluminum Steven Hamilton pedal doesn't match a triumph kicker pedal
dscn0544g.jpg

needs more meat. I welded a bunch of stainless over the threads
dscn0545z.jpg

machined some flat faces on the bridgeport
dscn0547zp.jpg

then I drilled a hole
dscn0549p.jpg

now they match. Its handy to be a welder. and its handy to be a machinist. it's better if you can do a little of both, though. full post here: http://www.tenderind.com/2013/02/bmx-kicker-pedal.html
