Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals - Now for DanMoto/Acewell gauges

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

For the CB750. This is for a 77 Super Sport, so not sure about how it fits the earlier faces, but I can easily adjust it for other years.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

Another CB750 version with a "Metallic" treatment. (does not print with metallic ink)

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

Final CB / CL350 design for now. These are all going to the printer tomorrow. If you have a request, get it in now. Won't be printing another batch till July-ish.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

This is a stupid question, probably, but I took apart the gauges, and had a couple of questions.

1. How do you take off the tripmeter knob so that you can pull the cover off?
2. How do you pull the needle off so that you can get the overlay cleanly on?

BTW, this is a 1976 Honda CB360T.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

There is a small screw (that is probably rusted to hell) in the end of the tripmeter knob. Drill that out and the knob will slide off.

The needle can be removed with two spoons, of go to Home Depot and buy this AWESOME tool.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

I'm looking to find a replacement screw for that little bitch BTW. I'll let you know if i do.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

I think the c360T should be the same as the other 360's. I don't cut or print the milage cutouts so you can make sure they are perfect to you faces.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

here is a blue that's just about as close as I can get it...dang it's hard matching this color...it's metallic for one, and the picture has too many highlights

and with the CB360T in there...

So you just essentially pry the needle off, and it pops out?

Thanks for the info, and the gauges are fantastic. Love the newest ones, the designs are killer.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

I found that a normal kitchen fork works great to get the needle off.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

When you did the guage stickers.. Did you use two different fonts for the "mph" and the "x1000 rpm"? Same question for the "Nippon Seiki"..?

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

it's all the same font. Helvetica Nue. Just different type settings/weights/caps/kernings etc.

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

I'm not in the money for a set of these nor am I at that stage of my build. But, when I am, I will keep you in mind. Thanks

Re: Gauge Faces / Speedo Tach Decals

sure. you would need to send me your faces as i havent done a CB550 yet and i'd have to scan & measure them. Just sent a set to the printer. I won't send another set off until late June/Early July.
