Rear Spoke DISC hub for Suzuki GS needed! Can Trade!

I'm converting a 1978 GS1000E from the alloy star wheels to classic spoked wheels. As I understand, the GS750 and GS1000 hubs are already tapped for dual disks on the front! And they should bolt right up!

Let me know where I can find a decent set. Not too worried about the condition of the spokes if they're easy to source. Just need clean rims and hubs.

Could even trade. I have a few parts that won't be used on this build, such as the rear seat cowl and 140mph gauges. Ask if there's something that would interest you for a swap. Can trade both mag wheels.

I don't have a whole wheel, but I do have a GL1000 front hub. My local yard has a good condition rear, too. He sold a me the front for $25.

That's a great start. I imagine it can't be too hard to match a rim up to this ;D

Do you know for certain that he has a full rear hub? I've gotten replies that are actually just the damn sprocket carrier :

I'll post up when I get home. He just recently got a 77 I've been buying parts from. I can confirm tomorrow. All you need is a 40 spoke rim and 8" spokes for this hub. I can send you the spokes too. They're pretty pitted from rust. I soaked them in phosphoric etch to clean the rust off- functional, but not pretty.

That looks to be great condition. The owner is interested for sure. There's no nicks that wouldn't buff out or be hidden behind the disks, right? Name your price and let me know as soon as you check up on the rear hub!

Super clean. The only nicks are the grooves where the spokes thread over the hub. Pay shipping plus $10 and it's yours. If you happen to have a used GL fuel pump (for a 77) or even just the cap to a GL fuel pump, we can trade. I need other knick knacks, too. Hand controls, switches, gauges, etc. Whatever we can come up with in trade is good for me, too. I'll get the rear price tomorrow and we can go from there.

I do have a mechanical pump that weeps fuel because of the diaphragm. Any use for that?

Hub is 40 spoke. You only need a GL front? Or do you want the rear rim too? He'll sell me the complete rear wheel, without disc, for $25. The disc is another $25.

Hahaha. I totally read that you could use GL front wheel here. And the world goes round and round. No biggie. I can still ask homeboy if he has GS parts.

I read very carefully after I counted 40 spoke-holes on the hub. Odd for a little standard bike.
