What's your advice of the best way to chemically strip old powder coating off a frame and other bike parts? I don't like all the dust that wire-wheeling produces.
The best that I know of is Aircraft Stripper. Usually available at autoparts and home improvement stores. Read and follow the instructions and safety precautions!

I ran into this just last week here In The US Ive always used stripper on frames and powder coat removal but the good stuff that works has been pulled off the shelfs the stuff with Methyline chloride. even the Aircraft stuff is now green and useless.
The best way I found to strip it and factory epoxy type paint is I take to my local machine shop (friends of mine) They have a vat for cleaning engine blocks and such the put frame in and cook it and comes out spotless for 30.00 vats contain caustic soda bad bad bad shit! twice as dangerous as muratic acid!
Google "Benco B17." Haven't used it but was about to on a bicycle project...research said it was good. Might be up your alley, might not, but worth a look.
I just went to the hardware store to buy my go to Circa 1850 furniture stripper only to find out it's no longer sold and had to buy an Eco stripper. 5 coats in on a piece of furniture I am re-doing for the wife for christmas and it still has old finish on it. stuff is crap and it cost 2X the old stuff. Not sure what I am going to do to get the old finish off now.
