Replacement ignition coils

My service manual lists the primary resistance for my ignition coils as 2.7 Ohms I am looking to replace them as the plug wires have been completely ripped out and I don't see a way to repair them. From my understanding I need a coil that either matches or exceeds the Ohms. So for my application I am looking at the Dyna 3.0 Ohm. Does this sound right? Thanks!

I have a pair of 3 ohm Dyna coils that I am not using, if you decide you want them.

That would be sweet! I just talked to a tech at Dyna and he recommended the 3.0 Ohm coil. Do you wanna PM me the details and we can make the arrangements. I would love to get those coils from you!

What's this for? I looked through your posts to see what you're building. If they're for the FJ600, you need dual output. I have single output for a 2 cylinder.

This is how a friend fixed his coils:

The coils on my cafe were drilled out and a small piece of copper solid house wire was pushed into the wire and then the sparkplug wire was pushed into it with some epoxy. Looks good and works.

Yea, they are dual output for my FJ600. Thanks for offering tho man. Your build is looking killer.

Its its for replacing spark plug wires on old stock coils.

The Stock coils have had the stock wires ripped out. I am just going to replace them as these old stockers are pretty banged up. Thanks guys!

If they are ripped out but still test out fine... It will work. Hondaman over on the Honda twins forum prefers the old coils because of the type and duration of the spark. If you still shitcan them I am sure someone on the forum can put them to use.

I will test them and post up my results. If I can save the $130 and use them still I will do that. Thanks guys.
