Right rocker arm shaft bolt came out on the way home...

Someone posted an SLI (3D print ?) file a few years ago to make a little bracket for rear carb support but even a piece of bent strap works.
If they 'fell off' they were not fully inserted into manifolds though. You also NEED some form of fork brace, there is a dramatic loss of stability without one fitted
I have a bracket from my CBR600RR exhaust I am going to try and make work, going to inspect the boots as well, I am seeing some micro cracks, might just be worth replacing them if they are in bad shape-

Thanks for the tip on the fork brace, there was no front fender when I bought the bike so I assume the lower triple tree supported it enough, especially since I see lots of cafes without them. Will do some research on getting something fitted!

Okay, big thanks to @trek97 for the idea on this - fabricated something similar to his carb support bracket since I was having the same issue.

Engine spitting and sputtering seems to have cleared up, all the oil has burned up out of the exhaust which is great as well! Adjusted the throttle screw on the carb a bit and now it doesn't die on idle.

I did happen to hit a bump and smashed my tail light - decided to remove the tail light and purchased a set of the Kuryakyn by Kellermann Atto Turn Signals to replace the taillight and turn signals! Stoked to get them.

Just because there are pictures of bikes without braces doesn't mean it's a good idea. PJ is right. A brace will make your bike handle tons better. I put a GL1100 front end on my bike to replace the smashed one, it was a 1980 and it had no brace in the fender, even though the forks were 3mm bigger than the 1000 they were terrible. I put an aftermarket brace on and it was HUGE difference. In 1982 and up Honda put braces on GL's again. A lot of folks with 80-81 GL's bought the aftermarket braces and put them on which was great because I found one cheap and fast.

Thanks for the info, I am by no means opposed to getting one! Just hard to find one for the CB360, I know PJ made one - wish I could get my hands on that haha, I suppose I could use a stock stay bracket from a fender and that would do the trick?

Yep, you can cut the brace out of the fender and use it to get the no fender look but fix the flex in the forks. If you paint it black it pretty much disappears

Yeah that might be the plan here, found a few on Ebay, going to wait to get a banged up one since all I need is the bracket - thanks for the info here -

Another note - valves seems super chattery, I previously checked the clearances but didn't have the right wrenches, just got a set of offset wrenches and going to get back in there to check them. Not sure how much chatter is too much chatter ha

When adjusted properly, tappets are quiet when warmed up. A little sewing machine sound is not so bad, though.

$500 is insane. Maybe SBC stuff is just that cheap, but a regrind on a small block Chevy camshaft is $150 max. I guess maybe I'm using a false equivalency. I wonder if they're sending the cam out, so you are paying double for them to be a go-between. I really can't make sense of a $500 price tag.
Hi
My rockers and camshaft needs to be repaired, common motor is no longer making this job, is there some alternative? My CB360 runs but this clicking sound is loud, once I opened the engine I saw all the excessive wear.
Thanks

Not sure who out there still grinds camshafts if Common doesn't. Others may chime in. Nothing wrong with sourcing good parts on Ebay if that's an option.

I sourced rockers and a camshaft on eBay, they were used but in great condition, @Gomezacta took me a bit but they slowly appeared and I was able to find all the parts

Great work. Keep a search out for the CJ pickup too. Worth the upgrade to help keep the top end in better shape when one shows up.
